I'm planning on getting a new phone this week and I'm split right down the middle on getting a S3 or a galaxy nexus. If I were to get a S3 its probably getting CM9 loaded on it asap but a nexus will have all the Google support and yadadada. What do I doooo? (I'm on sprint)

Probably will end up with an S3 given that I'll be loading CM9 on either one (whenever they get it together for s3 if they haven't already)

I've had my s3 for a week now, really not missing the iPhone as much as I thought. Not quite as easy, but the swipe, camera, display, etc are making up for the ease of use.

I'd definitely get the s3 over the Galaxy Nexus if you're going to mod software and throw on CM. Hardware is a lot better, and the quicker updates from Google aren't a factor when you go CM.

yeah, I was impressed. There was a bunch of junk running in the background and it never missed a beat. Guess I'm color blind cause I'm not seeing the purple look on the Pebble Blue that others are complaining about. Home button looks like a shade of purple but not the rest of the phone.

anyone use an app that allows you to scan your receipts and pull out the merchant, location, numbers, bar code, etc?

looking at the lemon.com and expensify apps, but i'm more interested in digital storage of the receipts (and, consequently, ability to pull up the bar code or transaction code for use in returns, exchanges, etc) rather than the expense tracking features

kind of like how the key ring app lets you scan your rewards cards (food lion MVP, harris teeter VIC, etc) and then pull up the code (or ID) for use in the store

What kind of speeds are to be expected from Sprint LTE? My contract with Sprint is done and Im month-to-month, but am considering a jump to Verizon. I also wonder how long it will take Sprint to convert from unlimited to tiered data.

Kind of the wrong thread, but does anyone know how to sync facebook contact pictures to gmail (NOT on the phone, but the email service; I have them synced on my phone, but I'd like them synced gmail in general).

Oh yeh, and since the ICS update, my phone has been slow as shit and sucking battery life.

Reviews I've seen from the people who have been able to get it in the testing phase say it holds up with all the other carriers


Also, got the Sprint S3 yesterday. This thing rules. I like some of the stuff Samsung has done with their version of ICS but there's a lot of stuff I want to remove and customize. Badly.

^4 I upgraded to ICS on my razr early today and my photo gallery and pictures load just as quickly if not quicker than before.

Would it be worth to upgrade to the upcoming Nexus 7 tablet from my Acer A200? I love my A200, but I want something lighter, BUt I don't really want to lose screen size (screen isn't necessarily a deal maker or breaker). And, also the Nexus 7 does have a Tegra 3 and a better GPU in it, so I am sitting on the fence right now.

there was a decent leap in battery life/performance ditching sense for an AOSP ROM...i did miss some (very few) sense features, though...liquid nonsense is like an extremely debloated version of sense and got great battery life on its own (better than any AOSP ROM i tried)

i used the kernel update to (hopefully) get rid of the bug that keeps me from answering a call when in certain situations where the phone was sleeping (it wouldn't give me the ability to answer, just the red "end call" - or whatever it is - button)...but the kernel update has given me even better life than the old one

Not gonna lie, i like the ICS upgrade for the razr. My main drawbacks are loss of some of the widgets I had and now cant return to the homescreen, plus no more videos when any site uses only embedded flash.

I picked it up and have played it a bit. it's pretty fun so far. stable and plays just like i'd expect it to. I like new final fantasy's better and wish they'd port 7 and 8. I'd be all over that shit.

how many hours do you htink it will take to beat it? I'm one of those guys that once I beat a game, I won't play back through it (I never played the original, the first one I played was 7). If it is something I'll beat with only 18 or so hours put into it, I might skip it.

ha deliver by time of 3:00 and it arrives at 2:51. Verizon fucked with the quick toggles in the notification bar and removed the one for wifi. Instead they have a notification in the on going section that is a shortcut to wifi settings. Epic fail. And for some reason LTE signal is weak to nonexistent in an area where it's normally strong.

I just flashed Jelly Bean on my GNexus. Other than Google Now and the cooler notifications, I'm not seeing much different than ICS. Also Google Now isn't really impressing me yet.
