I'm gunning for you, but you can't leave your machines running while you are gone? If internet access is the problem, you can switch to no deadline WU's and cache them. Best of luck.

mad props

i haven't changed anything and i am down 100 on average and these next two weeks i will be out of town and unable to keep up with comps (like mine at work, my boss will access and shut down without any doubt, first day i am gone) and the rest will possible get a power out and not reboot etc... but hopefully everything will be cool

hopefully not too many people will pass me and i can catch up when i get back.

might try to install on some cyber comps (shhhh.) and see if they can get a cycle or two

How about installing F@H as a hidden service on the lab computers? They are left on virtually all the time, with constant internet access....although I'm sure it would be shut down if the lab ops found out. But it would be nice to just quietly install the client as a background service (that runs even when no user logged in) every time you sit down at a lab computer...

^^^ My production has dropped a lot too. Don't know if it's because some of the computers I installed on aren't running as much, or if FAH has changed something with the scoring.

mine dropped a lot too, my production has only increased due to the service install on the new 5.02 so it runs even if the user is logged off, and because i had a lot of tinkers finish at the same time, i'm sure my score will drop back down in a couple days....

the points seemed to drop to me once the new 5.0x core came out... if you installed it as a service make sure it's using the -forceasm tag (change made in registry)

^No clue, not too much info on it even in the F@H support forum
http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?t=9672
Seems to just have come out of beta and has no sse or asm optimizations.

Man I've been lucky the past few days, 3 241 point tinkers and now a 320 point gromacs.

There is no flag for running the text client in the system try. I use EMIII for this.

I have a devious plan that involves hijacking 24 newly installed 2.4GHz machines in a school I work in as an "experiment" for science...

with the addition of the service installer in 5.02 and the registry tweak to run the F@H service w/ forceasm and advmethods, i now have all the machines at work, plus at home working 24/7, my stats are now up to ~4,000 pts/week with ~25WU's

i'm soon to add another athlon xp 1900+ once i install a new HS/fan on it, it's been locking up due to heat issues recently

Thanks for the welcome KRUZNBY.. I added F@H on my work computer and I plan on adding it to my home computer pretty soon, and Im getting a new mobile 64 rig Im going to OC the hell out of and Ill put it on that as well (once I get it set up).
Maybe I can try and convince some other people at work to install it on their machines.... If they are running Fedora Core 2 I can set them up to use the console client, correct? I loaded the graphical client on my computer which is running XP. I know I dont have to mess with it at all in order for it to keep running, but do any windows pop up in the console version running on either windows or linux? Or does it just run as a background process in Linux?
Also, Is there an easy way to get the graphical client to run but not have the tray icon?
Is there a tray icon (on XP) when you are running the console version?
Thanks

the console version basically just runs in a command window, or you can set it up as a service and have no indications or notifications whatsoever (very handy at work), hence the name no-nonsense console version it's my personal experience that you get better performance running the console version over the GUI, but to each his own.

Quote :
"currently im on a 400 one"

that would be a tinker core, they typically take longer, but you get more points for them than your "2400" one.

Wow, I am only running two machines and I am pulling like 350pts per day. This A64 box pushes out units quick as hell. The P4 2.8ghz at work isnt too shabby either.

i on the other hand have ~13 consoles running and pull only twice what your 2-3 consoles do in a day

i feel about the same as you do most of the time. it is for a good cause though.

also you are only showing 5 comps running. possibly one or two comps is not running the program, so that could be the problem. also if you don't have the flags up and you are getting newer more advanced WU's you could be getting beat up by thoughs.

some weeks i will fluctuate around 200 points average with little to no change. but i made it to number one (and could again soon, through perserverance never averaging over 500ppw for more than a week, if you care about stats). It was just waiting for others to slip. If you aren't worried about stats, you are working towards science...

holy hell, talk about flip-flop users. According to http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=84926 I'm kicking major booty lately. Only using 4 machines to do it as well, my own AMD 2800+, two AMD 1800+'s, and Intel 2.4 GHz.

NeoEraser, i think your setting a new pace record, i was at 500 WU's for 30,000 pts. and you are already beyond that with only 357 WU's

i think i may be adding another athlon 1900+ this week, we'll see

just made 6th, one more month to the top 3

4 days to team rank 94
btw, we are already up to 1.5 MILLION points, congrats!
9-10 more weeks to 2 mil

kinda makes ya sick to see teams put up 1 million points PER WEEK!

Prospero- I like your banner stats! I thought you made them, but I could be wrong. Can you add weekly production to them like liquid ninjas, or would that be a major PITA?

weekly production? or 24 hr. average?

scratch that, this is the file it pulls the information from:
http://vspx27.stanford.edu/teamstats/team59.txt

i would have to poll the data and keep track (backlog) the information basically, to get 24 averages and weekly production, since all the stats stanford gives is current totals, stanford doesn't backlog.

Daily I guess. That seems to be the trend. I don't think Stanford actually reports Daily production, so the problem maybe that you may need to collect data and calculate it yourself.

ok so i added an average, but it's just total points / total wu's, it's not daily based

NeoEraser is at 90.1 pts./WU avg, and CarZin is at 100.1 pts/WU

^^Great! That was the main reason I did not use your signature. If it is possible, it might be nice to have the same color schemes for the pts/day numbers that EOC uses for their stats pages. No big deal if not.
