budget secret!!

it's a finely ground, dark, dark roast coffee that's supposed to taste like espresso when you brew it.

i'm trying to save money, so the first thing to go is my coffeehouse habit. i'm not big on sweet in my coffee, so i thought id have to find some gourmet chocolate syrup for my mocha. i'm gonna try to cocoa powder, but for now, this is my recipe for a REALLY tasty mocha!
(i made mine in a french press that said "coarse grounds only", but it worked well)
1.5 T grounds
1/2 c. hot water (i was in a rush, so didnt wait for it to boil)
1.5 T hershey's chocolate syrup
2% milk...dunno how much...maybe 2/3 c.?
ice

in one cup, put the chocolate syrup - or even a 1 c. measuring cup. in the other, put some milk and ice. pour the brewed coffee over the chocolate syrup, mix that shit, and then pour the choc/coffee mix directly on the ice. stir it and then use milk or water to get it just right.

~12 oz. mocha

Cup A Joe does hot chai too. Chai's been called chai latte at some places I've been; I always thought that was odd, but makes sense since it does have milk in it. Guess I'll just call it chai to avoid being redundant
