I think it's pretty obvious. Nothing can destroy the Juggernaut.

"JUGGERNAUT
Real Name: Cain Marko

Affiliation: X-Men

Previous Affiliations: Exiles (Ultraverse)

Relatives: Kurt (father, deceased), Sharon Xavier (step-mother, deceased), Charles Xavier (Professor X, step-brother), Xavier Family Tree

Codename Etymology: Pronounced jug'?r-nôt' [From Sanskrit, jagannathah: "lord of the world"

jagat: "moving, the world" + nathah: "lord"]; A blindly distructive force.

Powers: Cain Marko grew up with his step-brother Charles Xavier, and always hated him, mostly because his father Kurt ignored Cain in favor of Charles (Kurt felt guilty over having caused Brian Xavier's death). In fact, one time when a fire broke out in Kurt's lab, he saved Charles before his even thought about going in to the flames to rescue Cain. When the boys were drafted to Korea, Cain and Charles stumbled on an ancient temple. Lured by greed and thoughts of glory, Cain found a red gem and picked it up. He became a human juggernaut. Protected by that Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, Juggernaut is the irresistable force. His super-strength, combined with his total invulnerability make him nearly unstoppable. His only weakness is psychic attacks, if his helmet is off. Otherwise, get out of the way! Juggernaut opposed the X-Men many times, hoping to a) get rich quick and/or b) finally defeat his hated step-brother, but the heroes usually managed to stop him. Often he worked with his best friend Black Tom Cassidy, whom he cares deeply for (mainly because he's his only friend).
Over time, Juggy has mellowed considerably, to the point where he jokes about the "losers" the X-Men recruit and doesn't really want to destroy them anymore, although sometimes his temper gets the best of him. Some time back, Cain was sent into the Ultraverse, where he led the ill-fated Exiles. Just before Onslaught, Juggernaut broke through some sort of shadow barrier and said that he needed to get to the X-Men. Then, suddenly, he landed in New York, having sailed from Canada after a hit by the then-mysterious Onslaught. He came to the X-Mansion, where he trashed up Bishop and Gambit a little, and then asked Phoenix to help him get Onslaught's identity out of his head (it had been blocked). Jean took him to the psi-shielded Z'nox chamber, and just as she got it, she realized that the door was open. Juggernaut ran out into the house, and ran into Onslaught himself (Xavier). Onslaught literally pulled the Crimson Gem out of Cain's body and put him inside it.

Inside the Gem, Cain journeyed through his part, and found out that he was the avatar of Cytorrak on Earth. Cytorrak wanted to use Cain as a host, but Cain, through sheer force of will, destroyed the animated statue representing the evil god and returned to Earth, stronger than ever, but less in control, and destined to destroy everything in his path. After OZT, he actually showed up at the Mansion with a lawyer and tried to weasel the team out of Xavier's money, given that the Prof was missing. He was ignored, because everyone was trying to save Cyclops's life, and got ticked off, but when he saw the ragged condition of the team, he left, saying that they'd fall apart within a few weeks anyway.

Later, Cain heard of a second gem in Korea, and went to get it, but fell into a trap laid by the Chejo-Do clan. They used the second gem to suck the power out of Juggy, leaving him a withered shadow of his former self. However, and Black Tom's request, Gambit, Storm and Shadowcat stole the gem back. Unfortunately, the second gem was imbued with the evil of Cytorrak, and Cain was possessed. He began a rampage that led him to actually break down the barriers between dimensions, and left our reality altogether. The X-Men were called in to stop him by the Oktid, the denizens of that plane, again at Black Tom's request. In reality, however, it was the Trion, the ruling "gods" of that dimension who were using their sequestered "dark side" to control Cain's body, hoping to get the X-Men to destroy him and rid themselves of their own evil. Xavier and Wolverine managed to enter Cain's mind, where they convinced him to re-take control of the power of the Juggernaut, which he did. He did not leave that dimension with the X-Men, but he somehow managed to get back to Earth to help Black Tom attack the kids of Generation X a few months ago.

Cain continued to work with Black Tom, taking a job from the crazed ex-soldier Ulysses to harass Cyclops, who then saved the villains when lysses betrayed them. A few months later, however, Juggernaut himself initiated an X-Men distress signal when Black Tom mutated and became a tree-like entity intent on draining the life energy of all he encountered. The X-Men responded, not knowing who had sent the signal, and attacked Juggy on instinct. Juggernaut defended himself with restraint, then pointed the X-Men in Tom's direction, but they were all trapped in Tom's web. As the X-Men battled to save all their lives, Juggernaut was confronted with the irony that his "best friend" was trying to kill him, while the students of his "hated step-brother" risked life and limb to save his life, even considering their past history. Having escaped Tom's clutches, Cain returned with the X-Men aboard the Blackbird, but Tom's tendrils reached out and grabbed him before they got far. Juggernaut fell into the ocean, but was saved by newly recruited student Sammy "Squidboy." Upon returning to the X-Mansion, Cain and Sammy bonded, and then Cain befriended Carter, the son of Havok's nurse Annie. After helping the X-Men against Maximus Lobo and his werewolves, Juggernaut formally asked Charles for permission to join the X-Men, and was accepted.

Unfortunately, Sammy's parents recalled him from the school, which upset him greatly. Alpha Flight came to pick up Sammy and tried to take all the children at the school, and Cain erupted in anger, though his weakened powers left him vulnerable to Sasquatch. Sammy's parents put a restraining order on Cain and he had no choice but to keep his temper. A few weeks later, fearing that Sammy would be beaten (as Cain was as a child) he asked Charles for permission to visit Sammy. Upon arriving at the Pare's house, Cain's presence freaked out the parents and they summoned Alpha Flight again.

Juggernaut was arrested by Canadian authorities put under house arrest with X-Men thanks to his attorney She-Hulk. The two also had a one night stand before a new Juggernaut attacked. They managed to defeat the new menace only to discover it was just a kid in a muscle suit, who was given power by Cytorrak in order to punish Juggernaut for betraying him. Returning to the X-Mansion, Cain became a full-time member of Havok's field team, and even got Cyclops to let him teach gym.

When the Brotherhood resurfaced later with Black Tom Cassidy he seemed to switch sides, but in truth in was only a ploy to infiltrate the gang. Recognizing Nocturne, he seemed to kill her, but in reality got her out of the way to protect her from being exposed. Unfortunately, Cain's presence broke Squidboy’s heart when he found out, and Cain was unable to stop him from being brutally murdered by Black Tom. In the end, after revealing his true alliagence he apparently went out a hero when he allowed himself to be sucked into Xorn II’s black hole in order to make sure Black Tom went inside the event horizon.

Juggernaut and Nocturne apparently ended up on Mojoworld, where they were sold to Mojo himself. Nocturne was able to possess Spiral and force her to open a portal to Earth, and they emerged in the Danger Room. However, Spiral was faking submission, and she kept the portal open to allow Mojo to follow Cain and TJ back to Earth... "

Real Name: Mortimer Toynbee

Affiliation: Brotherhood of Mutants

Previous Affiliations: Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (I, III), The Misfits

Powers: An incredible jumping ability. Toad was essentially Magneto's yes-man and whipping-boy in the original Brotherhood. When he and his "master" were kidnapped by the alien Stranger, Toad was left by Magneto on a distant planet, and the method by which he returned to earth is still unknown. Years later, having gained the ability to exude a sticky secretion from his hands, as well as a lot of self-confidence, Toad formed and led the third Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He then went to live on Emma Frost's estate after the rejection of his petition to join the Hellfire Club. There he and a mutant called the Surgeon developed some highly intelligent frogs, and attempted to mind-control Frost and her Generation X charges when they were on the run from Operation: Zero Tolerance. Toad then joined up with the second Brotherhood to find Professor X when they were being hunted by Cerebro. He remains with them, even though the group has returned to its criminal ways under the leadership of Mystique. A short time ago, Toad was one of 5 superhumans recruited by the sentient ship Prosh to go on missions of discovery throughout time, as a means of teaching them things they would need in order to defeat a powerful menace, who turned out to be the Stranger. On these missions, Toad found out that he was once an object of study for Black Womb, a secret organization that researched mutants, and that the hormonal imbalances that had plagued him for so long could have been corrected back then, but were not so that his life could be an experiment. He began to realize that his entire life had been wasted, and that he was the key to defeating the Stranger due to the time he had spent on the alien's ship. During the final battle with the Stranger, however, Toad was injured had to be rushed to Prosh's healing chamber. When he emerged, he had a sleeker look. His mutation had fully developed and he also had a long prehnsile tongue that secretes a substance that allows him to control any who touch it. He regained a lot of his confidence, but was unsure of what to do. Unfortunately, human bigotry and a lifetime of pain and suffering appear to have pushed him too far, as he was next seen as a member of a revamped Brotherhood during the attack on Muir Island.

Recent Activities: Toad was found by Professor X and his allies on Genosha following the island's destruction. Together with some lower-level mutants, Toad was constructing a monument to his former leader Magneto. Following Magneto's return, Toad joined the new Brotherhood, and as a senior member, was given a lot of public-relations tasks. "

"Beast

Real Name: Dr. Henry J. McCoy

Affiliations: X-Men

Previous Affiliations: (X-Treme) X-Men, Avengers, Defenders, X-Factor

Relatives: Norton (father), Edna (mother), Robert (uncle)

Alternate-X Versions: (Dark) Beast (Age of Apocalypse), Brute (Mutant X), Beast (Ultimate), Beast (X-Men: Evolution), Beast (Earth X), Hal/Henry (1602), Beast (Mangaverse), TAS

Codename Etymology: Pronounced best [From Latin, bestia]; An animal, especially a wild one.

Powers: Beast was born with oversized hands and feet, remarkable agility and superhuman strength. Still, he looked mostly human, and was a football star in high school. Even in elementary school, however, Hank's inqusitive mind and genius level intellect were his star qualities. He was then asked to join Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, and was assigned the codename "Beast," although it seems that may also have been his football nickname. Upon graduation, Hank got a job at the Brand Corporation. Trying to ferret out some enemy agents, he isolated a chemical that would alter his physiology for a time to grant him anonymity in his investigations. The serum mutated him further, growing blue fur all over his body, and giving him fangs, pointed ears, and toes, and increasing his agility, strength and healing capabilities. However, when he stayed too long in this state, McCoy found he was stuck and had to adjust to being a beast in fact as well as in name. He then joined the Avengers, and was content to be on their roster until just before Phoenix's transformation into Dark Phoenix, when he deleted an Avengers alert notice saying that the X-Men were suspected of criminal activities and then joined them to try and save his teammate's life. Along the way Hank got his doctorate in genetics and is considered one of the world's experts on mutations and evolutionary human biology. Just after the formation of X-Factor, Hank was reverted to his human state by Dr. Carl Maddicks, who was testing a procedure he hoped to use on his son Artie. Shortly thereafter, though, Hank was stricken by Pestilence with a virus that sapped his intellect as it increased his strength, and which was actually triggered by his physical exertion. The more Hank used his strength, the stronger he got, but the dumber he got. Finally, to save his friend Bobby from Infectia's kiss, Hank got in her way and was himself affected. He returned to his blue furry form and his intellect was restored. Beast continued to serve with X-Factor through the original team's return to the X-Men. He became the team's number-one techno and medical genius, working on everything from Shi'ar technology to the Legacy Virus, a pursuit which takes up most of his time nowadays. During his tenure with the X-Men, Beast was lured into a trap and replaced by Dark Beast, his alternate-reality self from the "Age of Apocalypse". Sealed behind a brick wall, Hank was nearly about to give up and let fate win when his water tube broke and spurted, revealing the grooves of a trap door in his cell. Energized by hope, Beast broke his restraints and escaped, returning to the X-Men after Onslaught's defeat. Beast's knowledge spans many subjects, and indeed he is the X-Family's Jack-of-all-trades. He has phenomenal dexterity in his hands and feet, can jump great distances and land safely from a three-story drop, as well as punch his way through a steel door. His status as a former Avenger and the very public identity that created, along with his fame as a biogeneticist also make Beast one of the more accepted mutants, despite his fur and fangs. After returning from the battle with the Phalanx in the Shi'ar Galaxy, he took leave of the X-Men to work on the cure for the Legacy Virus, and spent much of his time on Muir Island. Recently, Beast was contacted by Gambit to join his former teammates on a mission to Russia. He has now officially rejoined the team. Beast remained with the team, though much of his efforts were concentrated on finding a cure to the Legacy Virus, which he did, though it was after Moira MacTaggert's untimely death at the hands of the revamped Brotherhood. Unfortunately, the cure could only work if it took the life of its host. While Beast was not willing to pay that price, Colossus was, and he died releasing the cure into the atmosphere. Shortly thereafter, the X-Men found out about Destiny's volumes of prophecy, and Beast joined a team that left the U.S. to find them and keep them out of the hands of those who would use them to control the future. While some of these X-Treme X-Men felt that way even about Professor X, Beast refused to believe Charles would be tempted into evil, and joined the search to "keep them honest."
When this X-Men team encountered with the man named Vargas, Beast was severely injured in battle, and survived only because Psylocke sacrificed herself in fighting Vargas one on one. Beast was in critical care when Sage jump-started his mutation to help increase his already formidable healing abilities. This mutation manifested itself when Beast returned to the X-Mansion, where he underwent a third transformation into a more feline, furred Beast, with cat-like eyes, animal legs with the elongated foot common to dogs and cats and three-fingered hands. His intellect remains as keen as ever, though he is still learning to adjust to his new hand shape and size. In addition, his sense of smell has been increased dramatically.

Using Professor X's vast fortune, Beast made significant improvements to the Mansion's defenses, medical equipment and vehicles, far surpassing any of his former works. Unfortunately, Beast's new form destroyed his relationship with long-time love Trish Tilby, who found his new look too disconcerting to deal with. When Trish tried to reconcile, Hank told her he thought he was gay, but this was only a ploy to hurt her the way she had hurt him. "

Quote :
"Multiple Man

Real Name: James Arthur ("Jamie") Madrox

Affiliation: X-Factor Investigations (proprietor)

Previous Affiliations: X-Corps, X-Factor, Nasty Boys, Fallen Angels

Alternate-X Versions: The Madri (Age of Apocalypse), Wendigo (Earth X), Multiple (X-Men: Evolution), (Ultimate)

Codename Etymology: Pronounced mul't?-p?l man [From Late Latin, multiplum, multi-: "multi-" + -plum: "-fold"] [From Old English, mann];.

Powers & History: Madrox duplicates himself upon impact. He has enough control that he can create a "dupe" by clapping, or stick a finger under a door and create a dupe on the other side. He can also survive the death of a dupe, e.g. the one that died from the Legacy Virus. Madrox's duplicates tend to manifest one particular aspect of his personality very strongly, like caution, machismo, or adventurousness, and the aspect increases in strength the longer the dupes remain apart from the original. One such dupe went off with the "Fallen Angels," and remained separate for years, secretly desiring to be the one and only Jamie Madrox. When Madrox joined X-Factor, this dupe joined Sinister's Nasty Boys, and with the help of Senator Stephen Shaffran, a mutant with the ability to turn other mutants' powers and fears against them, convinced the team, and Madrox, that he was the original. Madrox merged with the dupe, but it was a ruse, and the original "disassembled" the dupe from the inside and remained the dominant personality.
Originally Moira MacTaggert's research assistant, Madrox stayed out of most dealings with the X-Men for years. When X-Factor was re-started as a government team, Jamie was recruited, and was a mainstay for a while. On a mission to Genosha, Jamie gave mouth-to-mouth to a mutate dying of the Legacy Virus, and became infected himself. Realizing that if he merged with that dupe, he would be totally infected, Jamie never did that, and the dupe deteriorated. Haven attempted to cure him, but he died. The shock of losing a dupe messed up Jamie's mind, and he disappeared for a while. When he resurfaced, X-Factor was hunting him, although they didn't realize who he was. Jamie had been recruited by elements in the government who wanted to turn him into a one-man-army. While he turned down an offer to rejoin the government-sponsored team, Jamie agreed to join the new, independent X-Factor that Havok was forming just before Alex was blown up in a time machine. Jamie next appeared months later on a mission with Forge in Genosha, checking up on its progress, then disappeared for months.

When Jamie reappeared, it was as part of Banshee's X-Corps, in which he functioned as a one man army, "liberating" former villains such as Mastermind II and Blob for recruitment into the group. Following Mystique's infiltration and her wounding of Banshee, the X-Corps was folded into Xavier's new X-Corporation. Madrox became an X-Corp operative.

After one of his dupes was killed by Weapon XII, Jamie left the X-Corps. He sent his dupes traveling the globe, learning and experiencing different things, knowledge of which he absorbed when they reintegrated with him. Among his skill set he now counts medical investigation, Shaolin philosophy and forensic investigation. One of the dupes actually married a woman named Sheila, who was engaged to a Chicago mob boss. Opening a private investigation agency, he was joined at the outset by his friends Strong Guy and Wolfsbane. Jamie's first case nearly got him killed, as someone killed one of his dupes. A twisted path led him to discover that Sheila was killing off rival bosses, using her hideous insectoid mutation and a hired gun named Clay, who also turned out to have the same replication powers as Madrox. Jamie eventually figured out Sheila's plan and her fiance killed her when she attacked them. Jamie returned to New York and thankfully agreed to Guido's changing of the agency's name from "XXX Investigations" to "X-Factor Investigations."

Shortly afterwards, Jamie won a million dollars on a TV trivia game show (by calling his multiples as his "one friend"), and used the money to buy a building in Mutant Town and upgrade his staff.

DANGER ROOM!!!

Quote :
"X3: Enter the Danger Room
Where the X-Men sharpen their skills.
by Steve Head
April 13, 2006 - They thought about using it in the original X-Men. They tried to go with it in X-Men 2. And now, in X-Men: The Last Stand, you'll finally get to see it: the Danger Room. "This time, it's actually going to be in the movie," says production designer Ed Verreaux. "There's actually going to be a Danger Room sequence. We were able to put it all together, and you get to see it work."

As many of you know, the Danger Room is a high-tech training facility, where the X-Men brush up on their fighting skills. wikipedia.org describes it as being filled with traps, projectile firing devices, and mechanical dangers such as presses and collapsing walls intended to challenge the trainee.

During pre-production on X2, director Bryan Singer envisioned a training sequence for Wolverine. "I worked with Bryan for about five months on the first one, and they had a Danger Room designed then," says Verreaux. "But it wasn't completely built. It kind of came together. We'd built part of the Danger Room inside of the Mansion." But due to budgetary constraints, the sequence was removed from the shooting schedule, and the small Danger Room set was put into storage. "Bryan really wanted to add it, but we just couldn't. There's only so much money."

For X3, however, the filmmakers made the Danger Room a top priority. "It was pretty important," says Verreaux. "This time, when we went in to the studio, we said 'We really want to have this! This is an X-Men thing!'"

Considering how important the Danger Room was, the filmmakers realized they needed to take it in a whole new direction. "There was a moment when we pulled the old set out of storage where we were like, that's the Danger Room?," says Verreaux. "It's a very small set. And if we used this, you'd never believe the scene. So we didn't use it. We built another Danger Room."

Verreaux describes the new set as "a big round room," with its key feature being that it will allow more than one X-Men to train within it. "We changed it a little bit because we wanted to open it up, otherwise you don't see as much of the room as you would have seen. The first set, it was really just sort of 'a space.' Not much room. But now [the actors] are doing a bunch of stuff and they're actually all in the space."

That being said, what can Wolverine and the X-Men expect to confront in the Danger Room? "A giant robot," says Verreaux. As the silver robot appears in production paintings, it's seen only from its foot to just below its knee joint. "We're going to see a bit of him. Not a whole lot. But we will see him in the Danger Room sequence, and the X-Men will be fighting against him.""

because i'd bet they are running a page out of the ultimate x-men playbook

in the ultimate universe

rogue and iceman were together
but iceman winds up having something for kitty pryde
ice and kitty kiss, as rogue walks up - suprising everyone
and rogue then runs away to become a thief with the older gambit (gambit being his normal age, rogue being a younger age)

and of course you may be asking where is colossus in all of this, since in the regualr marvel world he and katya are basically soulmates

well, in the Ultimate universe, colossus is gay

this marketing campaign reminds me a lot of the old comics posters, like:

just a bunch of random people, not really doing anything, staring at the viewer.

at least in the comics, they had the benefit of using tons of eye-catching color. here, though, you've got a bunch of people in, for all intensive purposes, identical black body suits. aside from the fact that you've got a couple big-name celebs and a couple of people with blue skin, there's not much beyond intrigue to really retain attention.

a really bold, interesting marketing strategy. it's almost cocky.

So I heard along time ago that Halley Barey wasnt going to do storm again unless she got more screen time. Am I to assume that this film will have alot more of storm?

From the looks of what is going on, it looks like he isn't phased in the floor...he is frozen in ice. Ice man to the rescue.

Halle Berry's movie flop what??? Serious? Like the only thing that has sucked lately was Catwoman - and that by far was not her fault-the script/plot was garbage.

Ok, she does not make the best Storm, and the wig is a lil over the top...but she does add to the movie...

well i was thinkin catwoman, gothika, and some other flick that i cant think of the name of off the top of my head. seems like the last 3 or 4 movies where she's been the lead have been disappointments. even the last bond movie with her as the bond girl was a disappointment to most.

Bond in general has been a dissapointment to most (most being tru Bond Fans). Gothika...forgot about that...was kind of bismal. Catwoman did suck - but b/c of liberties with script/storyline.

So maybe her last few movies have kind of been of base...guess its hard to keep status quo:

Robots
Their Eyes Were Watching God (Made 4tv I know)
Introducing Dorothy Dandridge
Monsters Ball
Swordfish (anyone know if they plan on making sequel)
