Totally unecessary to preorder from what they're saying...

Apparently they are making so many Wii's that there will be plenty at retailers at launch. They've hit amazing production numbers for N.A. rollout. This isn't like the 360 or anything.

Everyone will be fine...ebgames/gamestop are the only ones receiving small allotment windows for preorder, and they're a bunch of douchbags anyway so don't even buy from them.

From the numbers nintendo has been talking and have been verified, id say you might actually be worse off trying for the ebs/gamestops.

They just dont get nearly the quantity of a Bestbuy. I think the best bet is going to a big chain / big box store that moves.

Yes I do. There will be more than enough demand to match supply....just because preorder is vaporous and helps you feel good at night doesn't mean people don't understand they can just pick one up at a big box retailer on launch day.

Otherwise you'd see these things selling like hotcakes, but they're not. So your economics goes right out the door.

ebgames/gamestop suck a dick, I'm not putting down money on that shit. Their prices suck and they've shown such a fuckwad attitude to their 'preselling' - just a terrible douche of a company now.

Nor do I need the 'promise' of having one launch day when I'd rather stroll into a bestbuy/cc city / kb toys / sears / wherever the fuck that day and pick one up just as fast as you without bending in to those fucks, waiting in line, or putting money down. I'm not some nerd in need of his fix, but I would enjoy getting one when they are released, which will not be a problem.

So yeah, I'm gonna be buying a premium 360 and putting it up on eBay as a perfect alternative to the 2 hard-to-get systems this year. I'm making it a buy it now for $3,000, I figure it'll get eaten up in less than an hour, easy.

I'll be getting a Wii. I didn't preorder, and I never planned to. And somehow, despite all the bullshit "information" posted here, I'll have one on launch day with minimal effort.
