man..I think there must be a huge difference btw lawn and seats. I was in the seats and thought it was incredible. Granted it was my first time seeing them, but I loved every minute of it.

Set list would've been better if I had written it...but isn't that true with every show?

^^ tschudi is pretentious. like actually pretentious instead of pretending to be pretentious. its complicated, i know.

and ^ no, that isn't necessarily true. the set list could have been WAY better. the VA show looked about 100% better than the charlotte show.

and maybe there was a huge difference in the lawn seats. i'm pretty sure radiohead in a smaller venue would be better than seeing them at the tippy top of the lawn. the lights were cool but i mean...they just had that screen in the back on instead of the two big ones so it was pretty much impossible to see anything but the lights. super crowded. i think the whole weather thing is gay. oh my god i saw radiohead and it was lightening...duuuuuuude.

I wasn't the guy recording anything --- I just found these, all were individual files, so I downloaded them put them in a zip file.

I can't give you #'s on the sound quality, as they're on my laptop at home, but I will say that they didn't sound too bad at all when I checked them out last night.

Not like they're soundboard quality or anything, but there didn't seem to be a lot of extraneous noise and whatnot.

I found a copy of the Bristow show and setlist as well, and it is supposed to be very good quality.

I'll put up a link of the Charlotte show whenever I get home. I tried to put the bastard up on Mediafire, got up this morning and mediafire would only hold 100 MB's and this was over 170 MB's and I had to start it over on megaupload before I left for work this morning.

EDITED to ADD ----

For those that don't want to wait, someone posted this over on mortigi tempo

Quote :

There's a megaupload link. I downloaded the flac torrent from dimeadozen and converted it to 320 mp3 using dbpoweramp for listening on the iPod. Enjoy!
"

Now, these are the copies that I have, apparently, as they all go back to the dimeadozen torrent page --- but, the versions I uploaded have the correct ID3 tags/names for each song. Mine also came out at 175 mb's vs. their 280 mb's, so perhaps a little has been lost in quality along the way.

Anyway, there are the unmarked mp3's, and I'll be back with the correctly tagged ones after 6 pm.

A message from w.a.s.t.e. to all members of 11 MAY - BRISTOW on w.a.s.t.e. central!

Due to Sunday night's torrential rain storm and consequential multiple road closures, many fans were unable to reach the Nissan Pavilion. While acknowledging a lack of control over the ensuing flooding and detours, the members of Radiohead are nevertheless disappointed regarding this turn of events. For further inquiries, ticketholders who didn't get in are urged to contact: customerservice@nissanpavilion.com

Regards,
w.a.s.t.e.

St Louis Set List

All I Need
Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Airbag
15 Step
Nude
Kid A
Weird Fishes/ Arpeggi
The Gloaming
You & Whose Army?
Idioteque
Faust Arp
Videotape
Everything in Its Right Place
Reckoner
Optimistic
Bangers ‘N Mash
Bodysnatchers

Encore

Exit Music (for a Film)
Myxomatosis
My Iron Lung
There There
Fake Plastic Trees

Second encore

Pyramid Song
House of Cards/No Surprises
Paranoid Android

Paranoid Android was the perfect end to an amazing show. At the end of the song all of the lights turned this crazy vivid rainbow color. Not like the red/blue i've seen in the other shows. I was totally taken aback.

One of the things that pissed me off about the Charlotte show was the people in the lawn. There was hardly any energy where I was and people were talking and didn't give a shit about the show. I would have liked to hear National Anthem and I was kind of surprised when they didn't play it. Myxomatosis was really cool and came out of nowhere, would have been really cool if the lightning was still going. And I have to agree with khcadwal, you could really see a damn thing, especially if you were off to the side. Other than that I think it kicked ass. Thom's eye in the camera thing is starting to get old though. And talking about the screw ups, the only one I heard at the show was when Johnny plays the octave part in Paranoid Android after the verse during the "What's that?" line. He fucked up the first part of it.

the people standing in front of me in the lawn in charlotte were on their cell phones and looking for friends the entire show, it was annoying as hell. I don't think they actually watched the show. I still thought it was amazing tho

Last stop of the American tour from the Santa Barbara Bowl will be webcast
http://www.radiohead.com/deadairspace/

I'd watch it but State/South Carolina takes precedence on this matter. I'm sure someone will record it.

I was at Schoolkids today and saw that those reissued Radiohead vinyls have been released. I might have to pick up a few. Unfortunantely, they appear to all be beteen $21-$25 each.

it is so, so very fucking good; OK Computer/Kid A/In Rainbows level album here.

"Identikit", "The Numbers", "Ful Stop", a reworked version of "True Love Waits".... then "Present Tense", "Glass Eyes", etc.

This is an unbelievable record.

Are they charging for the download, or is it "pay whatever you want", like one of their previous albums?

I wish Thom would just get over himself and put this up on Spotify. I've heard it's pretty good and would really like to listen to it. But who pays for single album downloads anymore?

I easily paid $16 for the album.

--$11 for 320kbps MP3. $16 for 16 bit WAV.

I took a last minute vacation to NYC last weekend and happened to be in Central Park on Sunday because the weather was great. My first two full listens were sitting/walking around there and I think it just enhanced the experience.

Overall I think this falls just behind the pack of OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows for me.

Haven't listened yet. Which album would you compare it to, as they've dabbled in a lot of sounds. I'm more of a The Bends and OK Computer kinda guy (as opposed to their Kid A, Amnesiac, and later stuff)
