I got mine for the midnight showing this morning at about 7:00 but their site did keep giving me the previous mentioned notice and also one that it was undergoing maintenence as early as 6:00 am. But alas my I finally got them!! Honestly, I was scared we wouldn't even get it in IMAX after not getting I Am Legend with the prologue back in January. Could not believe it. Not one single showing in this state but it was available in Idaho. IDAHO!! Go figure... July 18th can't get here fast enough! 6/27/2008 5:50:28 PM |

Warner Bros. has done some major press releases with some new photos but more importantly with some video clips. They are the type that you would see on say the Tonight Show or Conan but SOME MAY CONSIDER THEM SPOILERISH SO BEWARE but if you're like me, you just can't stop yourself! Number 8 is by far my favorite

They don't really give away anything.
But I mean, if you watch all of them, it's like 12 minutes of the movie.
I think I'm going to go ahead and put myself on blackout for the next 20 days, too much stuff out there. 6/28/2008 12:27:30 AM |

They're really more or less extensions from every blurp you've seen in the tv spots and the trailers. It just extends it out a little bit more and actually gives you a bit more of the dialogue and in some cases the actions sequences. 6/28/2008 12:31:45 AM |

Dammit. Quote : | "UPDATE -- Although we were supplied with the 12 clips from THE DARK KNIGHT by Warner Bros. Pictures, the filmmakers have asked us to remove them for the time being. For those of you that saw them consider yourself lucky! For those of you that didn't, we will repost as soon as we are given the "go-ahead." " | Oh yeah, and I'm not sure if this has been put on here yet but it's a spoof on the trailer. I got a few chuckles out of it.

He's an absolute as the movie begins. There is no origin story. He just is; but it's def makeup. The makeup smears quite often when he sweats and if you can find the image of where he pulls out his card and says "here's my card," you can even see it smeared on his coat. 6/29/2008 10:51:03 PM |

I wasn't sure about the chronlogy and I'm sure this is discussed somwhere in the past 17 pages, but I remember in the original Batman, JK is dropped into a vat of acid which causes his deformity, and then he gets a quack to fix him up, right? Well, is this movie taking place after that, because he's got his make up on? Because he dies at the end of the original movie, so this would then have to be before that. But... in that case, he wouldn't have been battling BM for the first time in the original.
See what I'm saying? 6/30/2008 12:04:39 AM |

^I was just getting ready to say the same thing. It can't follow chronologically as the joker in the original batman is the guy that killed his parents. Well, the guy that killed his parents is killed in Batman Begins when the court releases him because he turned on the mob guy. 6/30/2008 10:53:16 AM |

The idea that the Joker killed the Waynes is restricted to Tim Burton's Batman and Tim Burton's Batman alone. In all other continuities, they were killed by a petty criminal who is sometimes Joe Chill and sometimes someone else. 6/30/2008 5:18:20 PM |

Could Heath Ledger really win an Oscar?
Quote : | ""Heath Ledger didn't so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role," filmmaker and lifelong comics fan Kevin Smith said on his MySpace blog after seeing "The Dark Knight." "I know I'm not the first to suggest this, but he'll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for best supporting actor."
Ledger's performance is surpassing even the sky-high expectations hardcore fans have going in.
"He was better than I thought he was going to be," said Bill Ramey, founder of the fan Web site Batman-on-Film.com, who caught an advance press screening. "I think he legitimately would deserve an Oscar nomination, not just out of sympathy to his passing, but because he was just fantastic in the movie. ... It's right up there with Hannibal Lecter," which earned Anthony Hopkins an Oscar for "The Silence of the Lambs."" |

if he deserves it he should get it. However, I do not agree with all the empathetic articles and blogs etc. I've been reading by people who are obviously completely swayed by the fact that he died. It sucks that he died, it really does. But as far as an Oscar is concerned, he should only get it if he would have earned it anyways. 7/2/2008 2:53:08 PM |

The hyperbole in the reviews for this movie so far is nuts. Shades of the type of shit game reviewers spew at games that almost never live up to it. I'm hoping and praying that the movie critics have a little bit more journalistic integrity than IGN or Gamespot. If so, this is going to be the best movie of the year by far. 7/2/2008 3:28:42 PM |

Seeing clips and trailers and reading spoilers have never spoiled a movie for me. I may be alone in my opinion but they always excite me more and then to see it on the big screen all put together has only made the movie more exciting.
For me...if the clips/trailers sucked, the movies usually sucked to me; however if the clips/trailers were exciting and real to the movie, just made it better. I rather not see a whole 10-15 mins straight through, but the spoilers, clips, etc...have always done me good for movies.
