^this game has sucked. every turkey game has sucked unless you watched the last 5-15 minutes of it...im a big fan of soccer, but its hard to keep my interest when you play like ass for 75 minutes of a game, then come out of nowhere to start scoring goals

So clearly I'm a Turkey fan, and I will admit this game was horrible. I think the combination in the middle killed all creativity. Hamit Altintop and Tuncay got in each other's way for 85% of the game, and in all honesty, the number of chances Croatia had in regulation was unbelievable.

I'm ecstatic that we won, but it definitely wasn't pretty soccer. All we can hope is that Emre's thigh heals, and that Mehmet Aurelio comes back balls to the wall. I have this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad feeling that it's going to be 89.999 minutes of defense and hope to goodness that one counter-attack or offensive possession wins this game... which is going to be incredibly boring.

Rustu did look really bad though. Very jittery, and whatnot. Who knows, maybe this team is just destined to win it. I hated how Greece won it with their defense for 89 minutes tactic, but we're not doing much better this tournament, though we usually play much freer than this. Here's to hope!
