lol at all the people in the stands with their jerseys off covering their heads, fanning themselves, looking generally miserable.

I was like damn must be pretty hot there. I look up the current temperature.

73 degrees.

Remember 73 degrees in England is like 40 degrees in Alaska. That's a heat wave.

The lady who cuts my hair is originally from Southampton and we are really good friends. She got her uncle to get me this and ship it over for my graduation party.

fuckin chelski...

the big clubs better beware of everton next year. if they can get a healthy front line for most of the year and not less than half a year, they will be dangerous.

Wow, Gareth Barry is such a bitch.

Although that City midfield will be nasty with him and Stephen Ireland pulling the strings.

So what does this mean for Lolverpool and Arselol, who were both chasing after him? Lolverpool were willing to dump Xabi Alonso for 18 million in order to sign him last year. I don't see another holding mid anywhere near as good available. Anything they get now would be a step down from Alonso.

Arselol have their own set of problems now, because they probably could've gotten Alonso from Lolverpool if Barry had gone there. Plus they look set to lose Adebayor to Chelski, who will for sure be dropping Drlolgba off at the nearest waste dump.

well it doesnt say hes gone from what i read, but im assuming its a done deal. that good with me. that means ronaldo is going nowhere. since i guess united is losing tevez, they will be out after another striker. i would really like a strong offensive attacking midfielder. i keep forgetting hargreaves should be back next season but hes been injured so much that i have no idea what position he will play.

fergie really loves fletcher in the middle though. i mean for a top 3 club in the world, fletcher should not be on this team. sorry. united were exploited in the middle. and thats where they need some work. dont have a killer attacking middy. just above average attacking midfielders.

I don't think he's leaving but I thought Perez said he wanted both Ronaldo and Kaka

I guess it means Tevez or Silva for Liverpool, unless Rafa has some other target that I'm not familiar with. They would be stupid to get rid of Alonso now; I thought they were stupid for even considering it in the first place after his performance this season

i cannot imagine SAF letting tevez slip to liverpool. he will do everything in his power to not allow that. i dont know how he will, but he doesnt let players go there. i see him going to city before pool, more money and that douche ass agent tevez has is a money grubbing anus.

well apparently there's talk that Real Madrid may come in for Alonso, and he may try to force his way out of Anfield (I think that'd be a smart move on his part)

and all the things I've read have said that Joorabchian isn't even entertaining offers from anyone else for Tevez until he hears whether United will pay the 25.5 million for him - and there are supposed concrete offers from both Chelsea and Real Madrid that are well out of Lolverpool's pay range. And after David Gill's comments last week, it looks like United is read to pony up the cash the keep him from leaving.

For all of Lolverpool's desires, I don't see them making any huge signings because they're offloading shit players to increase the size of their weak transfer bank account, and because the owners aren't going to magically find funds to spend after their debt effectively doubled this year.

so its chelski out of the blocks this summer with stupidity...73 mil for kaka from what im hearing. no person on this planet is worth anymore than 50 mil. this deal is prob gonna happen, but how would kaka fair in the epl??? will amac dump arsenal and ac milan and now pull for ac chelski??

hughes is trying to get tevez too. i may puke if i have to see tevez wearing fagolina blue next season

Because it's Liverpool?

He just enjoyed his best season and he has one of the best supporting midfields he's going to find anywhere. They're on the verge of winning the best league in the world and they beat the current champions twice this past year...

Smart move if you're only playing for outrageous wages like Moneybags Barry. But we're talking about leaving the best league in the world to a team currently completely rebuilding in a lesser quality league with the reigning European champions who own the shit out of them at the moment

No, it's a smart move because he can go somewhere where he's not surplus to requirements and get a big pay raise to boot.

It has nothing to do with it being Liverpool.

Alonso could go to Arselol or Juventus and play every single game.

And Barca don't "own the shit" out of Madrid. If you'll go back over the past nine seasons and look, Madrid won La Liga 4 times to Barca's 3, and over the past 5 seasons in 10 games played, their record is 4 wins each and 2 draws.

That's with Madrid's yearly coaching overhaul. They are never far off from winning the league, and they are always a UCL threat, whether you seem to think so or not.

He featured in 33 of their 38 League games, and 47 of their 53 total. The only players used more were Kuyt and Carragher.

How players play more than that? How many players want to play more than that?

The writing is on the wall. Rafa didn't want him anymore when a shiny tinfoil Gareth Barry caught his beady little spanish eye.

Alonso was at least professional enough about it to not be a baby and throw all his toys out of the stroller like some players would have. (Robinho)

The truth of the matter is, Lolverpool can't pay him what he's worth if Juve or Real Madrid come calling, and since they can't guarantee him a title either, he'd be stupid to stay.

Yeah, you're saying the same thing I said.

The "playing time" and "guarantee of a title" are both bullshit because there's no way you can guarantee a title in the same league as Barcelona.

really, maybe Alonso will stay at Liverpool for the simple reason that they will have a damn good team with players he's grown to love

a team that could very well win the Premier League for the first time in 20 years next year, if everybody sticks together

I mean, there are other considerations than money

kaka looks like hes going to be a madrid player either today or tomorrow for around 60 mil pounds...that pretty much assures that you will not be seeing ronaldo go anywhere this summer..

now i can only hope that united sign huntelaar and make amac angry, lol

and a real attacking midfielder too....arsenlol have fabregas, chelski have lampard, lolverpool have gerrard, united have fletcher? carrick??? haha i dont know. i hope SAF realizes that they need a big name attacking midfielder...

anderson is looking like he could pull this off. he had a great improving year last year and maybe he will explode onto the scene next season

well the rumor mill has milan going hard after fabregas, but i am not sure how likely that is...but 2 thumbs up to milan for completing the sale of gourcuff too i will be hoping for bordeaux success in CL competition next year...to make things worse, diego, a favorite of mine, signed with juve...i wish him success, though...a couple years ago, i really thought he had a world player of the year coming in the near future

Sneijder, Robben, van der Vaart... will get something

I also thought that the advertising/sponsorship that came with having so many star players eventually made up most of the difference.... although I could be completely wrong about that. I just remember hearing about how much money they were supposedly giving up when Beckham left.
