it was kind of stupid that Whidmore showed Locke a picture of Sayid working on the roof of a house, then Locke shows up days/weeks/months later and Sayid is sitting in the exact same place doing the exact same thing he was doing in the picture

well...according to faraday...if it happened then it always happened..

so juliet and sawyer and all those folks should recognize each other in the future after the plane crash, etc...but it didn't seem like it

also, i wonder if locke and those folks from the new plane crash are in the same time frame as sawyer and them or if they are in a different time frame..
looks like next time they will have to choose between being loyal to sayid or blowing their cover

what? are you saying, since Julliet and Sawyer knew each other in the 70's, then they should know each other in 2004 when the survivors meet The Others?
No - that's not the way this works, and they are still being consistent. Julliet and Sawyer and others still meet each other in 2004 for the first time, and in their timeline, the 70's still comes after 2004. What "if it happened it always happened" meant was that Julliet and Sawyer were always in the 70's helping Darma - there was no "alternate 70's Darma" without them.

Locke, Ceaser, Ben and the "normal people" on the new plane crash are in 2008, shown by the abandoned Hydra station. If that plane crashed in the 70s along with Kate/Jack/Hugo, then the Hydra station would be full of Dharma.

Kate/Jack/Hugo skipped back to 1977 along with the rest of their original survivors when it flashed on the plane.

i realized we've been getting a lot of egyptian clues this season--hurley drawing the sphinx, paul's ankh necklace--and looking at the back of that statue, it kinda looks like an egyptian god or goddess..
