on the ps3, if you are getting the error about "game session is invalid"...

do this

invite your friend.. after the person receives the invitation, they should sign out of PSN, then go to their inbox and accept the invitation...they will sign back in (unless they already signed back in) and it will work

can't complain too much about the multiplayer, 8 people is just right for a free-for-all, much more and it would be pretty meaningless

had the host-quit reassign host thing happen once, it was not that big of a deal except the next guy was a bit too laggy

ok so i've played for a couple hours now...really enjoying it. Only been playing TDM to get used to everything but so far i have seen some pretty fair play. Seems like everyone is getting used to everything and just running in circles.

I feel like all of the assault rifles are the same thus far. M4, Scar...they just feel the same to me. i dunno, its probably just me focusing on 100 different things and not the guns closely.

Is anyone else as pissed as me that they did not take the leaderboard setup from WAW? SO MUCH BETTER. They broke everything down via game type, and you could compare your stats to the people that were in your lobby. NOT WITH THIS SHIT. The people from infinity ward need to get their heads out of their asses and admit that WAW definitely had that a lot better.

yep, once you get those rewards to activate them you have to pull out a laptop and you're completely vulnerable while you remotely do whatever

usually you can find a good nook somewhere though, although one time I had to defend myself in the third person from the helicopter gunner position as a guy tried to climb up and knife me where I was prone

Its a fairly big deal. It allowed you to focus in one area and acually have something to show for it. No way I can be in the top 100 globally across all games. Free for all doesnt score enough points or kills. Its a huge bummer. I am just trying to get a ridiculous streak going so I can be recruited into a good clan to play some matches. Ended the day with a 40 win streak and 1.85 kill death. Should have it over 2:1 sometime tomorrow. Found my weapon configuration that is nearly impossible to counter.

Yup, I was dissapointed, for once Treyarch beat Infinity Ward at something.

Whats the point of having a 3.00 k/d if you cant even talk smack in the pregame lobby? actually now that there are no gametype specific stats you cant tell the difference between someone with a good TDM or FFA k/d and someone that goes in objective games to just pad their stats. Really sucks, in W@W I was working towards getting in the top 1000 with kills in TDM. No way am I going to get close to top 25000 in overall kills now that the stats arent gametype specific, especially since kids already have thousands of kills because they have been playing 24/7

Edit: And BTW, the killstreaks to go with are: Recon (3), Care Package (4), Emergency Drop (8)

I'm sure all of this has been discussed already but my feedback thus far:

Multiplayer:
-Predator missles are a whole lot of fun; i love dropping it right on someone's head.
-The Pavelow helicopter is huge and awesome
-The stealth bomber is huge and reminds me of a pelican dropping a big deuce in mid air
-Chopper gunner is too badass for words
-I haven't gotten an AC-130 gunner yet, but I'm assuming it is equal to or greater than the chopper gunner.
-Maps are well thought out and detailed, however for some reason I'm getting my ass whooped on "Quarry" and "Scrapyard" every time.

Campaign:
The airport mission was brutal. Even though it's just a video game and I know the difference b/t fantasy and reality, I couldn't hardly watch it and I couldn't bring myself to take out any civilians. IW is taking a lot of heat for it, and understandably so. I shudder to think of all the shitty/naive/ignorant parents who will be letting their young kids play this game. All that being said, plot is OK so far and gameplay is detailed, challenging, and engaging. Oh, and the prisoner in the Russian prison was a nice surprise.

It's so sad, but my life (post 5:30 PM) as I know it is going to be consumed by this game for a couple weeks. Well done IW.

Picked up the last copy at Best Buy last night and played for about 4 hour last night. Played mostly MTD with Free-for-all mixed in. Spawning is still an issue....I spawned beside a teammate who was being killed and I died within 3 seconds (this happened multiple times). I love the wide variety of customizations now and the new perks.

^^Yeah, I agree. That's going to be an issue in any map that's not huge. If the opposing team is spread out and moves around alot, then it's inevitable that you'll spawn near an enemy.

^^^^If it is really a big deal to you, you can use the "tactical insertion" perk and pick your own spawn point.

I never quite understood that...I had no problems opening fire the minute the mission started...its just a video game. Seeing that in a movie however would be different but in a game I don't really feel all that emotionally connected to it.
