There will be a plenty of them on craigslist over the next 2 days. It might be too late for stubhub, but I've bought tickets for a game on the same day on Ebay on multiple occasions this year. Seller was in Raleigh on all occasions and would either meet me or leave them at will call. If you really want to go to the game Friday, you'll be able to. Not to mention all of the scalpers/sellers that will be lined up on the walk in to the building closer to gametime. It might not be the seats you were really hoping for, but anybody that says "I couldn't find/get a ticket tonight, and I really wanted to go" is a liar. "I can't afford a ticket" is a whole different story though, in which case yeah I guess TV is the best option, but you can still tailgate

Scalpers, Craigslist or Ebay are pretty much your best bets. All the good moderately priced tickets on StubHub and VividSeats are gone.
My brother's friend who has season tickets is going out of town tomorrow night and won't be able to use his seats....he's going to call this afternoon and let us know if we can use his tickets 5/7/2009 11:08:08 AM |

I don't know who the Canes employee is that thought this stupid "cowbell guy" angle was a good one, but he or she needs to be fired. I don't have any issue with fan cowbells, but spending an entire minute or more dedicated to showing some dude with his gut hanging out of his shirt (I get it, he's "Will Ferrell") thrusting his crotch at Dancing Granny is not my idea of entertainment. I must be in the minority though, because they keep showing stupid shit up there (fat dancing kid with the 1 move, strange kid trying to be cool that follows around the dumbass cowbell guy, etc.).] 5/7/2009 11:23:23 AM |

So, my friends and I that sit in 328 row C always stand up and turn our backs to the jumbotron whenever they show dancin' granny now. I mean, it was cute at first, but c'mon Pete Soto, move on! Anyhoo, this d-bag in row E looks at us and says "you guys are a bunch of assholes! turn around and watch. oh, you're all SO cool.." blah blah blah. Really guy, you're mad b/c we don't watch something that we DON'T WANT TO? Fucking hilarious. 5/7/2009 11:26:54 AM |

The cowbell d-bag was up there at least twice, maybe three times. I thought it effectively killed any buzz that was still resonating around the arena after the official timeout. It makes me want to stop standing up waving my towel and screaming, and just sit the fuck down and be quiet. I'd much prefer them to just show random shots of people around the crowd still going apeshit. But nooooo, let's show some dumbass in a Will Ferrell costume clunking a cowbell with his tag-a-long crew shaking his nuts in front of an 80 year old woman, that's what I need to get pumped up for the rest of the game.] 5/7/2009 11:31:44 AM |

The cowbell wouldn't be quite so terrible if people had even a remotely basic understanding of rhythm. Instead it just sounds like a bunch of cows having seizures.
And yeah, Dancing Granny is played out and should retire. Instead of showing this nonsense on the jumbotron during extended breaks, I think they should just devote that time to the Storm Squad.
Seriously, who doesn't love the Storm Squad? 5/7/2009 11:35:13 AM |

We were tailgating in the horse complex lot, and apparently there was a horse event of some sort there tonight. They were nice enough to still let Canes fans park there anyway, so they ran a wire across the parking lot to reserve the back section of the lot for horse complex parking. An absolutely brilliant move seeing as how it would be very difficult to see the wire while driving. One person nearly ran into and stopped at the last second, then the guy pictured hit it at full speed and it drug a bench, trash can, and a sign under his truck.5/7/2009 12:22:29 PM |

That Linda Craft shit needs to go away too. Oh you didn't get the right answer? Well here's the prize anyway. Just announce over the PA who the "Linda Craft gift winner" is and say that it was sponsored by Love That Joker realty. That way the kid gets a prize, and we don't all have to look at her fondle the kids.
Also of note, do they find the dumbest assholes in the building to play Moe's Family Feud? The 4 most memorable goals of our opening round. Jokinen's game tying goal in Game 7 was wrong the first time the other guy guessed it, so I'll be a dumbass and guess the exact same thing. Both contestants also used "the opening goal of Game 6" as one of their answers. That was a stupid answer the first time, and borderline handicapable-qualified when guessed a SECOND time. 5/7/2009 2:48:14 PM |

I'm just gonna retype the 1C article form my morning paper:
Raleigh - The Carolina Hurricanes' overtime hero, Jussi Jokinen, scored yet another big winning goal. Jokinen's goal gave the Canes a 3-2 overtime win over the Boston Bruins and a 2-1 series lead on Wednesday night at the RBC Center.
At 9:03 in the third period, Boston forward Mark Recchi tied the score at 2-2, after Chuck Kabasew's shot from the right circle touched Recchi on the way in.
It was Recchi's first goal of the postseason and defensemen Steve Montador was also credited with an assist, after passing to Kobasew.
Just like that, the Hurricanes scored a pair of quick goals near the end of the second.
(blah blah blah skipping ahead)
The Hurricanes hada 27-15 shots on goal advantage after two periods. ...
At times in the first period, the Bruins outskated the Hurricanes. Carolina still had more scoring chances that its opponents and outshot them 12-8 in the period
Written by Javier Serna, who is the usual North Raleigh news columnist. It ends just like I typed it, no punctuation and no continuation on a back page. The second to last paragraph also did really have 'hada' and the ... after the end of the sentence. It's like he twittered it into the office or something. 5/7/2009 9:27:43 PM |
