devin hester or Joshua Cribbs....
I have given up on derrick mason in lieu of a my returners... they each got 16 and 18pts respectively last week cause we get great points on return yards
now do I start Hester who might have more looks as a WR or Cribbs who will get a couple reverses (possibly for a break) and who had over 200yds returning last week... Hester plays Pittsburgh and Cribbs is up against crappy denver- I'm torn 9/20/2009 10:50:56 AM |

anyone know the latest on whether pierre thomas is going to play today? i got lucky when i played ricky williams last week but i dont think williams is going to have another good game today, but then again i dont wanna get screwed over playing thomas and then having him sit... 9/20/2009 10:51:58 AM |

i didn't think he was gonna play today- and this is the last I heard
Quote : | "Thomas (knee) was limited in practice on Friday and is listed as questionable this week against Philadelphia, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports." |

Good news on Boldin... but I'm still wary.
My WRs are:
G. Jennings A. Johnson A. Boldin P. Crayton B. Marshall
So Jennings and Johnson are a given. Do I risk Boldin? Start Crayton and hope Romo goes long a few times? 9/20/2009 11:03:58 AM |

i'm not going to weigh in on your decision until I get an answer on mine
ok, I have to weigh in on yours, but I expect a response to my deliema soon!
I would start crayton

chicago is playing pitt (sans polamalu) and cutler had a horrible game last week, but he'll still probably put up a lot of passes and most of those will go towards hester. given that i dont have enough fantasy knowledge to know about cribbs, i cant intelligently comment further than to say id play hester. you drafted hester higher than cribbs for a reason, might as well play him. 9/20/2009 11:11:10 AM |

^^^ Well, ESPN said Thomas WILL play but he'll be limited and Bell will be the feature with Bush the #2. Don't expect more than 5-7 carries.
Also, I'd start Hester. If this is in a league with return yards especially (I know Bobby's league is, but I think he is a FA still).

^^Atlanta
Rivers will find a way to pass for 250-300 against the Ravens with a lot of dumpoffs to Sproles and Gates. Atlanta will get credit for INT's/Fumbles against CAR.
Should I start...
PIT D vs. CHI WSH D vs. STL 9/20/2009 11:16:52 AM |
Panthro All American 7333 Posts user info edit post |
Biofreak - Cribbs over Hester
NYM410 - You have to start Boldin. He was limited, but he practiced all week.
Dweedle - Start Atlanta's D. Thier offense is potent and will force Delhomme to stay in the game. It's tough to not start any D that is facing the Panthers right now.
UNREAL DOWNPOUR IN TENNESSE vs. HOUSTON TODAY. TEMPER EXPECTATIONS FOR CHRIS JOHNSON, WHITE, GAGE, ANDRE JOHNSON, SLATON, O. DANIELS, SCHAUB, ETC. 9/20/2009 11:20:53 AM |

yea i actually picked up the ATL defense JUST BECAUSE they are playing carolina
and i hated to started baltimore's where when it gained, it would just offset anything by Rivers, but i do want to start the one of course that will get more pts 9/20/2009 11:27:32 AM |
crazywolf96 All American 1001 Posts user info edit post |
^^with that in mind, would you start Slaton over Julius Jones or Willis McGahee? I just fear Slaton will have a dismal game (as well as the rest of the Houston offense) like last week, while Jones and McGahee have better chances of getting in the end zone.

We all have the Slaton question, lol. So I'm looking for an answer as well.
^^^^Not bad options either way, I'd almost go with Washington, b/c St. Louis was just awful last week. Plus Polamalu is out.
^^dweedle, I did the same exact thing. I had the Pats D, but saw that the Falcons D was out there with Carolina coming to town.
2 Questions:
QB (McNabb is hurt) Jason Campbell Vs. StL Brett Favre Vs. Det
RB (Pick 2) Steve Slaton Vs. Ten Cadillac Williams Vs. Buf Mike Bell Vs Phi I'm leaning Slaton and Cadillac, but with Pierre Thomas being limited, it's making me think about Bell.
[Edited on September 20, 2009 at 11:33 AM. Reason : slaton] 9/20/2009 11:30:12 AM |

^^ Still start Slaton over those guys
^ Campbell. They are going to get him on track today, and it's a great matchup to do so.
Of those RB's, I would actually lean towards Slaton and Bell. It's very hard to recommend Caddy in a 3 way timeshare over someone who is playing as well as Bell is or someone with as much upside as Slaton.
I could end up being wrong here, but I see a low yardage total for Bell (80 combined) but at least 1 TD. 9/20/2009 11:40:29 AM |

2 questions for me...
one of these RBs:
Darren Sproles vs. Bal (LT is out) Larry Johnson vs. Oakland Ricky Williams vs. Ind.
and one of these WRs:
Derrick Mason vs. SD Torry Holt vs. Arizona Santana Moss vs. StL
Leaning towards Sproles despite a bad matchup and Mason, any thoughts? 9/20/2009 11:41:11 AM |

WES WELKER IS OUT
Quote : | "Wes Welker (knee) is inactive for the Week 2 game against the New York Jets, according to NFL.com
Joey Galloway will take his place in the starting lineup, and should be a solid play this week. Also, this means more targets for Randy Moss and tight end Ben Watson. " |

Panthro All American 7333 Posts user info edit post |
^^^Dont overthink.
Sproles and LJ.
Santana Moss (again, they are going to get that passing game going. I would start both Cooley and Moss in any situation where you are on the fence)
^^ Donald Brown (He actually gets reps) Lance Moore (based on what I saw last week against the Packers, I dont feel confident about any Bears WR, especially against the Steelers)

cant decide between fred jackson and ray rice. Jackson is the featured back while Rice is mainly between the 20's but rice is much more explosive and has a better chance of breaking long runs. 9/20/2009 11:58:35 AM |

** having that said.....I can't decide to go with Rice either. pick two:
Gore (SEA) Slaton (@TEN) Rice (@SD) Bell (@PHI)

Pick 1:
Darren Sproles vs. BAL Jamal Lewis vs. DEN W. Parker vs. CHI
All kind of meh choices because of either matchup (Sproles), fatness (Lewis) or general lousiness (Parker).
Thoughts? 9/20/2009 12:17:21 PM |

^^^ definitely take gore and rice out of that group. Slaton does well against the Titans but Panthro mentioned the weather could be a huge factor.
^^ thats a bad group but sproles has the best chance to succeed (mainly through checkdown passes and screens).

it's hard for me to do that morally as I'm a cowboys fan, and I have Barber starting in both of my money leagues
I'm thinking about starting Lendale White though in his place in one league (but only if I get some inside information that he is back on the tequila train)
