My brake booster on my truck was leaking where the hose goes in. So I jbwelded aroun the seal. This weekend I replace the pinion seal on the drive shaft. Tired of that leaking.

When is that date? Just need to wire it now. I tackle that this weekend, mostly next week. I hope to have it running by May/June then I focus on cosmetics. Not really in a rush on it as you can see haha

It's all stock besides suspension and supporting mods for the rb. Whatever stock Garret turbo they came with. I just want to focus on making it run right before I do dumb things to it. It will have about 225 wheel with the freeing up mods and stock boost I believe

"lol, happened to the reservoir on my c5 as well and it too is jb welded (has been for 3+ years).

wish i'd known you needed an ebcm, probably would have just given you mine. i'm likely going to be junking it along with anything else abs related. the taller tires i just switched to in the rear have been causing frequent "service active handling" errors in which case it locks the tc on and renders the button useless. it's confused by the 1-2" difference in diameter front/rear. cycling the ignition resets it no problem, but still annoying. especially when it decides to do it right before i need to do a burnout"

JB isn't sealing it well...still leaks down px. Gonna try again either with a whole bunch of JV or some RTV.

EBCM rebuild was only about $70, including shipping. Not too bad.

Screw the JB Weld, silicone, or any other means of sealant on the outside of the reservoir. They will NOT hold for any appreciable amount of time, as the reservoir's pressurized and nothing will bond to it very well under hot/cold, pressure/vacuum cycling. Well, that and damn near nothing bonds well to that plastic anyway.

Rock Auto's got the reservoir for around 56 bucks. Just replace it.

Oh, and as far as MY car goes, I changed the oil finally...after about 18k miles.

I think the solenoid on my new fucking starter took a shit. I go to start the thing (99 sentra 1.6) and it just spins fast as shit. So I turn it off and it's still spinning like hell. I had to jump out and pull the negative cable off the battery to get it to stop. Guess I just got a bad one?

^^My friend and I did it. He went to school to work on nissans and has been doing everything from electrical work to engine rebuilds over the last couple years, so I trust he knew what to do with a starter. It worked fine for a couple dozen starts, then the solenoid locked up. I whacked it with some pliers today and it freed up and I drove it home without issue. The solenoid is obviously defective, no?

Hah, spark plugs I believe only call for like 2.x hours of labor, I'm in at about 17 so far...

The new engine is supposed to arrive tomorrow but I'm going to see what went south on this one, so far so good;

In fact, better than "so good", there's no discernible wear on anything and boy does it look pretty.
Hollow cams, sodium filled valves, titanium keepers. Well done Porsche, I'm impressed. Will buy again. <3

and again and again and again. then one day you'll grow balls, buy the last car ever made by Porsche that is completely 100% void of any driver assistance, and become a man.

Going to dynabead the tires on the mx3. I'm pretty sure one of them threw a weight, so might as well see these things work their magic... Also have to reseat a coil spring this weekend. I think I seated it 1/2" off and now the suspension creaks as I make hard, slow turns.

flushed the clutch fluid in the Z06 again tonight. Not as bad as it was the first time I did it a few weeks ago (doesn't look like chunky tar with a film on top), but it was black again. I'll probably do it again in another week or two.

Changed the serpentine belt in my 93 Ford Lightning today. Literally took me 5 minutes.

Changed the serpentine belt in my 04 Audi S4 last week. Took me 2.5 hours (had to remove bumper and move the radiator).

Haven't done a damn thing to either of my cars...been too busy working on other folks' cars.

I think it's time to go ahead and break bad on this Integra. Do something with it, fun, frankenstein, whatever.

Should I organize another barbecue to work on this thing or what?

my 2000 Accord is on its way out. it's odd because i have taken care of it like a child, and it's only been in one accident. the accident only caused cosmetic front end damage so i know that didn't murder it.

the transmission has been really jerky lately, and it revs high in low gears then it's fine once it gets into 3rd/4th gear. i went to get it checked out, and turns out the transmission needs a rebuild. i say fuck that on an 11 year old car with 130k miles and KBB value of ~5k.

should only last another year, or a month, or a day. there's no telling.

what have i done to my vehicle lately? i refused to get it fixed

I have this 84 Audi Coupe that I let sit for a year. Lately I have taken the opportunity to nurse it back to health, and today I went out to start it and had to jump it to get any power. The engine would only turn over once and then stopped. I let it charge up on a running car for a good 20 min and still nothing. What is my next move before I just tow it to a lot and have them look at it?

Any/ALL help is appreciated!

Turn over the engine with a wrench, make sure it's not locked up. Then buy a new battery or swap a good battery into it to test.
