Yeah, because 3-5 is definitely a contender.

I'm thinking...Chicago.

He has to pass through waivers....his contract is kinda high(like 6 mil) but some shitty team will put a claim on him....he wont be able to choose where he wants to go....

It is in the AFC West.

Chicago won't make it over Green Bay, and they sure as fuck aren't going to make a Wild Card in the NFC.

NFC is weak and feeble

The Giants and Falcons are the only legit teams

Every team but the Panthers, Niner, Lions and Vikings has a legit shot

Every other play would be:

Philip at Moss.
Moss at Philip.

as a Browns fan, and a Randy Moss fan, I dont want him to wind up in Cleveland. He wont put forth ANY effort to be a playmaker there

that's because the Browns suck. I'd sit out the year before I'd play for the browns if I were a HOF WR.

How are we not talking about how much of a fucking chump Brad Childress is?

so we agree

and yeah, Brad Childress needs to be fired...today. He has Favre and Moss both publicly questioning his playcalling and coaching ability. He isnt a good coach, he just has enough talent on the team to make himself look better. Plus he's a dickhead, can his ass

I understand waivers, but apparently you don't understand the situation. The teams that are available to pick up Randy Moss go in order of winning percentage. So the shittiest teams get first pick. In case you didn't notice, the Chargers are 3-5, so they aren't that far down the list on who gets to pick up Moss.

Now what you don't understand is that this is Randy Moss. Teams will be looking at him for a quick fix for the year. No one is looking at Randy Moss as a long term solution. He's past his prime and he can be an off the field problem and possibly a distraction. So teams that have no shot at the playoffs aren't going to want to pick up a possible distraction for half a season. They are going to want to improve as a team and develop their young players...Randy Moss will give them no benefit for the future. Everyone saw what happened to him in Oakland.

I personally don't think there's a good chance the Chargers make a run at him (it doesn't seem like something AJ Smith would do), but it's almost a perfect fit. The Chargers are playing practice squad guys at the WR position. Philip Rivers is the leader in the club house and won't put up with Randy's shit. Norv Turner is also a veteran coach and won't put up with him. And Philip loves to throw the ball deep. Randy would give his left nut to play with a QB like Philip instead of a Ryan Fitzpatrick or Colt McCoy.

If Vincent Jackson weren't coming back, then I think San Diego would try and go after Moss. But with him coming back, I don't think they take the gamble.

That being said...he probably goes 24 hours without being picked up and goes into free agency.

That would be crazy if Moss ended up in New England. I think it's quite obvious that's where he wants to go.

WTF ESPN? Having a MVP poll and had Eli Manning listed as one of the Top 5?

He leads the league in INTs and has an efficiency rating of 88.5...

they just need to start suspending people for helmet to helmet. this is absolute bullshit. the NFL has explicitly stated they want to get rid of that, and dickshit defenders keep doing it, trying to kill people. upon that kind of shit, they need to throw the asshole out of the game, fine him 3 million, and suspend his ass for 3 games.

these asshats are making NO attempt to tackle, and that is absurd.

stay classy Philly fans, way to boo an obvious helmet to helmet hit while the player who got knocked out is still laying lifeless on the field

worst fans in football, hell in all of sports. Its fine if you dont think it was flag-worthy (which it probably was under the new rule enforcement) but you dont have to rain boos down on the field while he is limp on the field

well with all the hoopla going on in regards to defenseless receivers and helmet-to-helmet hits, I think the refs will err on the side of caution. I dont think the league will pass down any suspension, and I dont think it was necessarily the right call, but I can see why they threw a flag there

peyton is good, but he's no Philip Rivers in that regard

The Philly fans have a right to boo this game, imho. There have been a series of lame calls against them.

i mean, sometimes it's deserved or whatever, but they boo almost every play for one reason or another.

and i agree the hit on collie shouldn't have been flagged. (and ftr, i'm a colts fan)

^^ They clapped while he was being taken off on the stretcher.

But now they're just booing to boo. That was clearly a hold on the called back TD.

total chaos in oakland

i'm starting to think the nfl needs to change it's replay rules -- they were originally ahead of the game but now i think the college system is better

if the refs are consistently making crappy calls, the teams shouldn't be limited by their challenges

that unnecessary roughness was bogus

a couple plays before that, he was sacked, and that was a lot more ROUGH than the penalty call

Peyton does a fantastic job moving the ball, but hows Tame gonna learn not to drop a perfect pass if the refs bail Peytons boys out every time.
