Dennis Byrd is part of the College Football Hall of Fame now. He was part of the white shoes defense, and the first three time All-ACC player in league history, according to his bio on gopack.

It's always nice to get more recognition.

didnt know where else to post this, but Lids has a ton of merchandise on clearance (hats that are normally $25 on sale for $5, etc.), including a lot of NCSU stuff. Some of this is horrible, but theres some decent stuff for cheap

Gentry seems like someone that TOB probably loves to have on his team. Throwback-type solid, smart player that seeks contact and has a good attitude.

For some reason I'm reading this shitty interview with TA from last year, and I see this

Quote :
"Q: Who was your favorite college football player growing up and why?

A: I didn't have a favorite college player. I just watched NFL and that’s it. I didn't care about college until the North Carolina Tarheels came on during basketball season."

We should bring back the pink and blue (?) Unis as throw-backs. We would definately get worst dressed of 2011. Awesome idea. That should be the same game we bring out the Powerpack chant. Wonder what hoops thinks? LGBT appreciation day against UNX? The innagural cheater awareness game? Anyone.....anyone?

For some reason we think we're a military school during football season, so I fully expect us to have a camouflage alternate jersey for our Military Day game.

We have a pretty proud military tradition. More so than any other school in the state.

Because be are not a military school in the least bit. It's just odd.

And it's not a big deal.

We only have all the military day because flyovers are badass. No one gets hyped watching motherfuckers march around and look at a flag.

actually, i think NCSU has had more 4 star generals come out of their ROTC program than any other school (besides West Point)

Yeah, I was going to say, NC State does have a very huge military background. Yes, we're not a military school, but we have really good ROTC programs and military support and a history of being that way.

Awesome idea! Really good stuff. How do you get if you don't make the first game (I have not missed a first game since freshman year, 2002)?

LOL and the gut cover up.

if they make a big enough deal out of it at the first time, then i bet people will remember to bring it...

oh and you heard it here first:
they will put a big announcement on the jumbotron and the PA guy will tell everyone when to wave the towels...
it is embarrassing how they have to "teach" people how to do stuff at the games.

No one remembers to bring shit back. Somebody will make a killing selling white wash cloths in the parking lot for 5 bucks a pop for all games after the first.

This is not strictly related to State football, but the pigskin preview is on and Ruffin McNeill sounds like he's about to die.

Really? We were coming off a 5-win, no-bowl season in which we got hammered by Duke. DUKE.
