Jimmer is the best scorer, Smith is the best distributor and Kemba is the best finisher. Defensively and rebounding Smith and Kemba are way above Jimmer.

yea that byu game yesterday was close at first...then jimmer just took off and that was the end of that.

all of the games last night seemed boring compared to the pitt game though. i fell asleep and woke up to kansas state somehow blowing that wisconsin game. boooo. pretty excited about kansas ton...i'd love to see them lose.

There was still a second+ to use but I can't really argue that. I still think a floater is a horrible shot in the event that you miss. It's very hard to draw a foul with that type of shot because usually those things go in uncontested. So, why not ANYTHING that might draw contact? I can't see how a FLOATER which is HIT OR MISS can be the best possible shot in that situation.

Duke didn't show great killer instinct in that game, Irving didn't look too great, Smith made a bad decision or two towards the end, and Singler shot poorly (again). I still think they're going to be nat'l champs this year, though, unfortunately...

Also, in regards to the top three players of the tourney, what about Derrick Williams? He's better than Kemba, right? He's up there, at least.

Kemba has been the best player in the country the last two weeks, but I did forget about Williams... though all else equal I'd say the guard influences the college game far more right now than does a F/C.

Also, I just looked up Smith's numbers relative to Kemba's and they actually have pretty similar numbers across the board against similar competition in general. I don't think an argument can be made that Walker has a similar supporting cast as Smith though.

^Yeah, but it seems like Smith plays more within the offense than Walker does. Walker reminds me of Iverson in that he HAS to control the ball and shoot a lot to be comfortable. Not that he isn't great, though.

PPS were pretty similar. Smith at 1.35, Kemba at 1.32. Kemba had a much better A/TO ratio so it's not like he was playing out of control and turned the ball over more. Smith actually turned the ball over a full one time per game more.

I think some of the games that UConn lost late he did try and do TOO much, but then again out of the Top 7 players on the team, 6 are freshman/sophomores so he has no senior like Singler to help him out (the other two seniors are Okwandu and Beverly who are terrible).
