I'm glad we arent talking about the Spurs anymore after that buffoonery last night. 86 pts? against a horrible defensive team in the lakers and no mamba? unreal.

why did they cut Stephen Jackson? a scrapper.

do. something. in the playoffs.

I had this same argument with a co worker who told me that kobe was overrated. I laughed. kobe does produce. if it wasn't for kobe being kobe and dragging the lakers from the dead they would be in the 12th spot this year. I cant stand kobe but I never hated on his game. ( he kept throwing teammates under the bus and holding the franchise hostage is another story)

I can't believe how many games the clippers won this year. What's more amazing is that they're still only the 4ththe nest team in the west and might not make it out of the first round.

It's also kind of shitty that the Heat are goiwng to rol through the weak ass east and win the title while the west will be a dogfight.

of course no individual player single-handedly wins a title, but the most uncomfortable to watch NBA studio analyst in the history of NBA studio analysts is deserving of much more respect. prime Shaq elevated three different franchises into instant title contenders and the moment he departed rendered them irrelevant playoff hopefuls. if you'd have traded Kobe for McGrady at the start of their careers, the Lakers would have remained title contenders and likely would have still picked up a couple championships. replace LA Shaq with Alonzo Mourning (even with two functioning kidneys) and the Lakers are at the bottom half of the playoff picture every year and never get through Spurs/Kings/Blazers/Mavericks/Timberwolves.

Kobe has never played at half the level LeBron is at this year at any point in his career though.

While kobes longevity is remarkable his peak is nowhere close to other dominant guys like garnett, mcgrady, howard, etc

Now I know how unique Jordan is. Kobe is the closest player to him imo. But his career is gonna over now. But Jordan's second 3-peat is just starting at his age.

^^^^ Which Shaq are we talking about? The one who averaged a 38-17 in the 2000 Finals or the dude that played for 6 teams. Even if the Lakers kept Shaq over Kobe, I doubt he'd finish his career with LA.

they shouldn't lose another game ever since T-Mac is 100x the elite superstar that Kobe is

McGrady attempting to make the second round of the playoffs for the first time in his career

that stat will require the biggest asterisk ever if the Spurs do advance

(and while I tend to pull for the Spurs, it would be fucking hilarious if they get upset in the first round)

I want Brown to end up in San Antonio so badly to learn from Parker for a couple seasons and get the best coach in the game.

Tmac was good last year. Definitely not the elite version but he could be helpful. Green is great but he got nervous and choked in wcf last year. Tmac is good insurance

doesnt really matter...Lakers aren't winning it all this year, especially without Kobe Superstar Bryant...they might beat the Spurs, thats not worthy of a fix...Lakers aren't even that marketable without Kobe...I don't see any reason for a Donaghy moment

I'm sorry dude I'm just a laker hater. this team would have be the most disappointing team in NBA history if they didn't make the playoffs. I would have thrown a party. I was ready for it.
I had laker fans at work tell me all year they will arrive. I laughed at their asses.

however the Jazz cant close a front door. other team wouldn't put them away. Kobe resurrecting Lazarus. it came to the last meaningless games for the other team.

now that godawful season wont be remembered. being a first round out means nothing even though I never trusted spurs.

ugh I mad bro

It would not have been disappointing considering all of the injuries. They only had 22 games with the big 4.

My favorite time of the year. we all about this paper!

Hoping for great odds on Houston to upset okc. If I hit the #8 seed over the #1 for the THIRD consecutive season im a greek god.

Cant wait for these odds i think there will be value on Memphis over clippers. Getting rid of rudy gay was a huge boost and the clippers have relied on their bench for a lot of wins.

Looks like there is probably some value on NYK to win the East too at 9:1 and maybe indy at 12:1

Denver might not be huge faves over golden state and I bet when you run the analysis its horribly uneven matchup.

Freaking lucky break for my spurs drawing la instead of Houston but im not sure it was worth it to give up home court

Fuck yeah. Go Knicks! Let there be much yelling at TV.

Obviously can't win anything without Chandler contributing... well anything. He was flat pathetic but KMart showed up...

Meth

and later in his career there were some kiddie porn charges. he was cleared of that, though. supposedly, a scorned girlfriend accused him of that shit to fuck over his life.

Not sure what I'm "screwed" on nearly every bet looks good or decent right now.

David lee injury, faried returning, and close denver game 1 win hurts a lot but +333 is still about fair value
