the call was absurd but not why they lost. chris paul tried to shoot 80 feet from the basket in anticipation of a foul and turned the ball over. He had like 5 turnovers in the last few minutes.

^well the refs overrode the replay since if they had thought the replay would've dictated the call, they might've just called the foul in the first place

and honestly, the replay wasn't as cut and dry as a lot of other plays ive seen

that one call didn't cause the 13 point lead to evaporate though

Clippers should be more pissed about losing a 13 pt lead in 4 minutes and 7 pt lead in 45 seconds than one ref call. If you have a 13 pt lead with 4 min remaining, the refs shouldn't even come into play. Neither of these teams will beat the spurs. Spurs/Heat in finals again. Book it

I think the NBA refs are using instant replay as a way of rubbing it in our faces that they're fixing games.

also, if you've been watching Inside the NBA, they showed a snippet of the official rule which says that if a player with the ball gets hit on the hand while the ball is in his hand, the ball goes back to that player

bottom line, there have been far more obvious blown calls. the replays were far from indisputably conclusive

^^ did you watch the entire game? OKC got the benefit of the doubt with nearly every whistle.

and that rule they showed isn't applicable to the play in question. if it was, the ball would have gone out of bounds on the sideline, as opposed to the baseline.

EJ had it right. Jackson was switching hands when he got hit, and his free hand was what got hit, not the hand with the ball.

of course the Clippers had a major hand in blowing that game. both things can be true.

I didn't watch the entire game, but the home team often gets the benefit of questionable calls obviously

again, one bad call doesn't cause you to blow a 13 point lead in the last few minutes

Its pretty fucking hilarious. At first I just got a chuckle out of it...but now that he's defending himself...it's reached maximum lulz level. I love the..."Thunder got the benefit of the doubt the entire game." Not saying there wasn't an edge in the calls (it was a fucking home game)...but Westbrook was getting murdered all game long. They missed a lot of calls on him.


And stat of the night is...62-23. How much the Wizards outrebounded the Pacers. That's fucking ridiculous. Gortat was a monster last night.
