My general activity level does screw me over. I have not used any cardio machine for ages. If I dont maintain 3500-4000 calories I will lose weight.

Are other people in your family like that as well? Do you think you'll have to do cardio at some point in your life or will youa lways maintain a pretty high metabolism?

My dad said if I am like him I would need to worry about drinking non light beer / cheeseburgers around age 60. My mom is jealous but she is very thin due to self control. It's always a trip watching her use an assisted pullup machine.

My brothers metabolism is not as bad as mine (he is more ecto-meso).

It's all good. Just a hassle.

just ran 5 miles

after a week off from running at all, sitting around drinking my face off and only swimming when i had to pee

whoo boy

kinda ruff

also, decided at the end that since i kept a slow pace that i should sprint up the 122 stair path straight up a hill from the river to the neighborhood instead of walking around up roads (uphill cool down woo)

that was a pooooorrr idea

playing the AM I GONNA BARF game

monday was: usual warm up (200 free moderate, 50 kick, 100 im, 50 easy)

main set(s)

5 seconds rest after each part (sprint and easy) (each iteration is 1100 yards)
25 sprint, 25 easy
25 sprint, 50 easy
25 sprint, 75 easy
25 sprint, 100 easy
25 sprint, 125 easy
25 sprint, 150 easy
25 sprint, 175 easy
25 sprint, 200 easy

we repeated this set for kick (easy is swim)

then:

easy is free, fast is stroke (i did 100 IM pattern, first 25 was fly, next bit was back and breast, then free, fly, and back etc)
rest 5 seconds for each 25 (1100)
25 easy, 25 fast
25 easy, 50 fast
25 easy, 75 fast
25 easy, 100 fast
25 easy, 125 fast
25 easy, 150 fast
25 easy, 175 fast
25 easy, 200 fast

we didn't have time to get all the way through this one as we were supposed to repeat it for pull.
