Saw on Pack Pride that one of UK's assistants got fired for his 4th DUI and Calipari is looking at getting a guy from Oregon who knows Terrence Jones. If this helps UK get Jones then our chances of getting CJL increase.

since i am such a highly touted recruit that can also play the 3/4/5 spot. I am going to go ahead and bite the bullet and commit to UK so that CJL will have NO CHOICE but to play for state. with me playing for cal, cjl would get 0 playing time and i am positive that my decision will put cjl here to stay. yall can thank me later

It's interesting to see how production after the first 10 prospects varies pretty wildly. I guess the moral is to have tempered expectations for a freshman's immediate impact... *cough* ....and also not to waste scholarships on thugs.

What affect would stricklands dismissal have on CJL? Is he important in his recruitment? If not then I don't see it would matter.

Small update on Leslie in this. Most people on here think it's not true and I tend to agree after hearing about Jones and Knight.

Knight and probably Jones to Kentucky.

There's no way that Leslie wants to go to UK or anywhere to play with Brandon Knight. They've met and played together what... once? And at the event they played together, all the buzz around Leslie was him coming to State. Did Knight get offered by Lowe while I was sleeping?

I'm going to be honest, I'm very nervous about Leslie. I know YOU are confident and you have your reasons, but this is about the sixth time I've read about Leslie and Knight from various sources at different times. I'm not saying it's true and you have very good reason to dismiss it, but it makes me nervous...

I don't think there's any doubt in my mind if there's a PG in this class he's following it's Harrow. He might go to UK, but it will not be because Knight is there.

There's 0 chance he ends up at UConn IMO

sure, state fans say that a lot. However, Leslie has played with Knight once....played w/ Harrow quite a lot. Shared blog entries w/ Harrow. Spends the weekend at Harrow's house over the weekend. Attended Harrow's signing.

It's not a reach to say he's closer to Harrow.

I don't have any "sources." I just go off what I read from legitimate sites with people who have a lot more connections than I have or ever want to have.

I'm not naturally pessimistic, but I'm cautious when it comes to recruiting. I don't care if CJ Leslie is Harrow's boy... you never really know what goes on behind the scenes or in these kids heads.
