that what i thought, and was wondering about the "two early christmas presents". i think i've read that frasier might not announce until january.... but i guess monday would be an early christmas present too.

Hughes is 11 AM Monday

and yeah, supposedly Frasier is not likely to announce any change in his commitment until sometime between mid-January and signing day (February 4) after going on OVs to us, Duke, and possibly Bama.

Don't know what to think about Frasier (other than that we seem to be in it), but feeling good about Hughes and Hines. Would be a great class if we land both of them. Adding Frasier too would be huge.

yeah that's how i took it...that it just meant the two were announcing before christmas.

and of course, i don't think mark thomas knows much more than anybody here on that front.

^From what I've read, Bama kinda seems like a long shot. Which is weird to say. But, I guess they aren't quite in the same conversation as State, Duke, and FSU for Fraiser. But, and this is what I've read and heard so I'm not saying it's 100% true, the reason Fraiser wouldn't go to FSU is because he wants to stay in NC. Or is at least seriously entertaining that idea. So if he decides against staying in state, then he'll almost definitely stick with FSU. If he decides that he'd rather stay in NC, then it'd be down to Duke and State.

thoughts are that Hughes could pull the trigger early...possibly at the game this weekend.

Or we could be giving Hines' sister a little pub and counter her as the second present.

yeah, Bama not being the leader (or at least up there with FSU) is strange, especially with Saban flying in to visit him. Besides wanting to stay in state, I've also heard that his parents/family are concerned about the support system (or lack thereof) from the coaches at FSU. Basically all speculation at this point, though.

also, it may not matter much, but I'm pretty sure Duke doesn't have a single commit at the Shrine Bowl this weekend since almost all their commits are out of state (and not from SC either). would be great if some of our guys hit it off with Frasier over the weekend.

Hines' setup is so much better than the usually library or gym

great, now I can go ahead and start being anxious for Hughes' announcement Monday morning

for the record, 2016 3/4 star OL target Sean Pollard (who I mentioned a couple pages back) verballed to Clemson today... they weren't even mentioned on the couple sites I looked at but it doesn't sound like we were really in it for him anyway.

^ she also committed to State, as expected. didn't know that he planned on running track here too, though (per N&O):

i doubt he "made them". He probably just said "i'm real close to my twin sister and want to attend the same college as her". And if the school wanted him, they took this into account. I mean, it's a big decision for him. He can attend whatever college he wants (that offers him).

^I honestly don't know. If Fraiser is considering Bama and FSU, I really don't think he's scared to compete for playing time. So I don't think it hurts that much.
