gerber seemed off all together tonight, but that last shot was BS.. there was some missed calls tonight, but hey at least we got a point out of it. cannot wait for the road trip to be over, as I have tickets for the 15th, and 20th and will see my old team the Blues play for the first time in years in January. ^yes, it is over. The shots taken in the shootout are governed by the same rules as a penalty shot.

From http://www.nhl.com/rules/rule30.html:

"The puck must be kept in motion towards the opponent's goal line and once it is shot, the play shall be considered complete. No goal can be scored on a rebound of any kind (an exception being the puck off the goal post, then the goalkeeper and then directly into the goal), and any time the puck crosses the goal line, the shot shall be considered complete."

^yes, I know. The shot taken in a shootout follows the same rule as a penalty shot (as I mentioned before).
