Worked on upper body today. Shoulders and armpit area shake when I use them. Good sign!

Awesome job on the weight loss, good luck on keeping it off!

i lost about 14 lbs at SERE school, and prob a couple more by way of being sick when i got home. time to start getting it back...

2 days ago: chest workout. 6 sets incline dumbell presses, 4 sets flat bench dumbell flyes, 4 sets bar dips

yesterday: arms. 4 sets hammer strength curl, 4 sets cable curls, 3 sets concentration curls. 4 sets weighted seated machine dips, 4 sets hammer strength tricep extensions, 3 sets one arm french presses (dumbell, of course).

today: ran about 2.5 miles. wasn't timing, but i think i'm quicker, due to my lighter weight (even though i hadn't ran in 3 weeks now).

I had to cut my leg workout short last night because I started feeling sick. At least I got my squats finished before bailing out.

Worked on arms today. They're gonna be super sore!

Let's see we did 3 sets thirty second side bridges holding 8lbs. weight then ten reps on each side. Then we did 3 sets of twelve chest presses going slowly back each time, three sets of 12 puller downer thingers, 3x12 push up thingers with your arms, 3x12 pull towards you thingers, 3x12 pull arms up straight in front of you thingers.

Yay!

^^ that's a good day's worth of exercise

i did a moderate back workout.

20 pull ups, then a 2-4-6-8-10-8-6-4-2 pyramid of pull-ups. I thought that my (unwanted) 15 lb weight loss might kinda be a wash in terms of body-weight exercises...less strength, but less weight. well, i was wrong...i definitely took a noticeable hit on pull-ups.

then 3 sets of Hammer Strength lat pulls

3 sets of Hammer Strength seated row

3 sets of bent-over one-arm dumbell rows

I use a training log online called http://www.trainingpeaks.com

It's geared more towards endurance sports such as triathlon, running or cycling.

who the fuck leg presses?

I think the more important questions are what do you squat, deadlift, and clean and press.

But, the accuracy rate for giving one rep maxes on the intarnet is questionable.

I forgo leg presses, but my Bench 1RM is low threes @ 206 lbs BW.

Good to see you back on TWW^^

[Edited on May 29, 2007 at 8:37 PM. Reason : ^I agree, so in that case, I bench 545 raw and a 2 second pause. ]

^^ with all due respect to the almighty squat (an admittedly superior exercise), i do leg presses...

but i have no idea how much i can do, because it's a completely useless metric (the leg press, that is).

and i did a little bit o' chest yesterday:

5 sets flat bench (barbell)
3 sets incline bench (dumbells)
3 sets chest flyes
3 sets bar dips

i am weak and feeble since SERE mercilessly stripped those 15 lbs away from me.

I uprooted three dozen parking meters with bare hands, and decided to cool down by throwing a volkswagen about a half block.

I keep a training log that indicates the date and time I started my workout and then all my weights and reps. I even log my warmup sets just for a reminder. sometimes I write notes as to how the workout felt and whether to up the weights next time or not.
