^^I cheered at my TV

I'm curious how Karen is gonna deal with working in the same branch, or if she's gonna head out to NYC with or without a job, because she's obviously meant to be there and not Scranton.

don't think i liked the ending. i don't get the way they've been showing jim and karen acting like they like each other more, and then this. plus the fact that karen is like 20000 times hotter

that was a good one... and these:

"Welcome to the Hotel Hell. Check-in time is now. Check-out time is never."

"I will need a new number two. My ideal choice? Jack Bauer. But he is unavailable. Fictional. And overqualified."

"I didn’t get both of your messages."

"I love fake boobs. Often times you find them on strippers."

"Just say, “I want to squeeze them.” It’s code, she’ll know what it means."

Excellent episode.

I had to pause it and call my co-workers when the Shrute bucks came out. Our old boss gave out Tony Bucks.

did Ryan really take the corporate job or was he accepting another job? he always said he wanted to leave Dunder-Mifflin to start his company.

No, he really took the job. He had just gotten his MBA and was a temp there for awhile. The guy said it would be good to have another around the office.

From BJs live blog last night.

shooting beach games
Hi - Jen Celotta here. We shot Beach Games in the Congo. It was very expensive but i thought worth it in the end. Also redressing the jungle was very expensive and many of us got malaria. Also, Benihana Christmas was shot in Tokyo. But for the convention, we recreated philly on a soundstage. Production is very complicated and I can't go into it all now. thanks for your question!

To me it has seemed more like karen has been acting more and more jealous, while Jim has been thinking about Pam more and more...

it may have been just me but the signs of this had been there for awhile and the end was clear. now if I could only analyze my own relationships just as well..

Yeah, the whole, "we can't stay in scranton, b/c there's one too many people there" probably made Jim realize it wouldn't work out b/c he'd miss pam too much. That sucks though, b/c I don't want them to get rid of Karen, I liked her and I liked her and Jim as a couple. I kinda agree with what Pam said, that her and Jim are too much alike.

It's funny how when Michael got back to Scranton he asked Ryan to go get him some coffee. It was kinda funny when it happened but even funnier looking back on it after he got the job.

Yeah I loved the "I dont do that anymore", "I meant for me" exchange on the coffee....and all of the other great lines...this season went through a rough patch back in the fall, but its been as good as it ever has the past few weeks.

Ryan getting the job came out of left field to me...I had read the upfront news this week and Rashida Jones has a new show on FOX next season, so I figured she would get the job and drop to recurring (they filmed 4 endings supposedly waiting on whether her show would be picked up or not).

Creed thoughts...

Quote :
"Today in my office where I work as Director of Quality Assurance, we went to the beach for some reason that was never adequately explained. When we were there, our manager told us to eat hot coals. I thought that was a little bit untoward so I ate a fish. Then a woman I have literally never seen before in my entire life started talking very loudly about something involving Halpert. She was agitated, I’d say. From what I could guess, she was definitely on drugs of some kind, perhaps cocaine, or maybe ‘drines. Also, she is a knock-out. She reminds me of a young Daphne Du Maurier. Also, I stupidly ate the fishbones. I told myself “never again” after the last time, but then you turn around, and bam, they’re in my mouth. I also ate 55 hot dogs in 15 minutes, which is a world record."

I know. It's unrealistic and very realistic at the same time. I mean, things don't make sense in real life, and we often pretend things are going well when there are actually obvious signs to the contrary that we kind of ignore.

Remember that episode where Jim was talking about how Karen and him dealt with their relationship after Karen found out about Pam. And he said something like, "We handled it by talking about it for hours every...single...night." And then sorta smiled. That is not a good sign.

And while Jim doesn't necessarily wanna be in Scranton, Karen is like a billion times more ambitious than he is. She had a bit of a Lady Macbeth thing going on when she basically told him he had to leave Scranton.

And when she talked that shit about Jan, I was like, "OH, HELL NO!" I've made fun of people when I shouldn't have, but when a friend puts things in perspective and suggests that maybe I should have some compassion, I'm like, "Yeah, I guess you're right. She is going through a rough time." Karen just doesn't get it.

yeah that was like 10 episodes ago. on the beach episode, as well as some of the other recent ones, they seemed to be getting along better than ever. i don't know. i just don't think the writers have done a good job handling it. though the show is still funny, so whatever

I think the show has gotten to a point where the writer realize success doesn't necessarily bank on the Jim/Pam thing. So, finally getting them together doesn't spell the beginning of the end. I think the show can continue to be just as funny with the two of them as a couple now. The big thing is not to have PDA all over the place ala JD/Elliott. That would ruin it, I think.

It was that scene where Karen is eating her lunch in the break room and Pam walks in then they proceed to have that really uncomfortable conversation.

yeah i agree, get them together and have them keep the pda to a minimal for ofice reasons and focus more on all the other great characters. if they drag it out forever it will get stale. most people want jim and pam together right?
