have a mossberg 500 (2 3/4" or 3" only). wood stocks, 28" ported vent-rib barrel w/ bead sights, 24" ported smooth-bore slug barrel with adjustable rifle sights, sling studs installed. can't remember what chokes i have (i know i have imp cyl and xxfull that i used at turkey shoots). no rust whatsoever, only problem is a small area of discoloration in the laminate on the forearm, but the laminate isn't coming off or anything. great rabbit, dove, and deer (with the slug barrel) gun. it's a real workhorse and i've thoroughly enjoyed it and taken good care of it.

not sure if i want to get rid of it. make an offer if you're interested. i'm also open to trades, mainly just hunting rifles, shotguns, or accessories.

^they don't....they have one with a folding stock, but its a plastic stock and in black. i don't want one with the drop down wood foregrip...they do have one as a pistol, but thats it. not to mention, their prices are about $100 too high on each of those guns.

if you like the P99, look at the S&W SW99. Same gun with a slighty different slide but tends to be MUCH cheaper when used. CDNN usually has them for $300-400 (good condition used to new) and Lawmen's bought out a couple of departments that used them. They were selling for $300 I believe.

A word to anyone considering that Tantal: These have typically turned out to be excellent rifles. I've heard almost none of the typical bitching about Century builds when it comes to these rifles. They also shoot a round that's accurate and sill decently affordable these days.
If I didn't already have a Bulgarian 74 I'd consider this.

/\ thanks man, yeah it is a great rifle but i have two, both are super reliable(ak's duh)plus surplus ammo is about 125$ for 1080rds in a sealed can so its cheap to shoot, and the ballistics are on par with the 5.56, just ask the afghans!

5.45x39 is quite a bit more accurate than 7.62, and if you buy surplus, significantly cheaper as well. I bought a couple of 2160-round cases of this 7N6 Russian stuff, but it's mildly corrosive. I usually shoot commercial grade non-corrosive stuff (about $30 more per thousand) because I hate cleaning the gas tube every time I shoot.

The only reason 5.45 is not known to be quite as accurate as .223 is the fact that there's no real match ammunition available for it in this country.
