Nahh, left trigger for the win. That's the 'boxer' setup in config. I TOTALLY recommend this, improved my ability to smack down faster...you have to know when you are in range and get that feel down, likely your enemy is hitting it just a hair faster than you, and you both have sub standard health and boom goes the dynamite

the "blue electric current thingy" is a power drainer, essentially anyone near it, it will deplete your energy shield, making it fairly easy to kill you. plus, you dont try to kill it, it last like 6~ seconds and goes away.

for sniping...well, no more auto aim. soooo if i were you, id play a lot of sniping matches with friends, oh just grab the sniper at the start of every game you play, piss people like me off that i dont have the sniper and watch you miss, til you get better of course. for starters with it, take your time, line of the head shot or sometimes it is better just to go for the quick to body shots, especially if they are like kangaroos and like hoping around, makes for an easy snipe.

sniping: usually only use the first level of zoom... it's a good balance and has served me well in all 3 lo's. i admit that i've had a bit of trouble adjusting to the new delay between shots but i'm coming around.

anyone live in an apartment complex near State with time warner cable that has a shitty Live connection? I play at my friend's alot and time warner basically told him their router doesnt work well with Live and there is nothing that can be done. We play like a game or 2, get disconnected, troubleshoot the connection, start over, etc. Any help?

1) 117 is Master Chief's issue #. There were originally close to 150 spartans I believe, and through a series of campaigns against the Cov. most of them are either confirmed slain or MIA. I highly recommend reading the first 3 books written shortly after the original game came out. They add alot of depth to the series, and there are actually a few asides you'd only catch if you had read the books.

2) Did you watch the credits all the way through?

Almost certainly a NAT issue with your router. What type of router do you have? What you need to do is set a static IP inside of your xbox network settings, and then in your router menu - you turn DMZ on for that IP address and problem will fix. Some routers are lousy at this, and lousy in general and you may have one like that.

For those of you that have the IWHBYD skull...have you noticed ANY difference in game text? Isn't it supposed to change what they are saying to something humorous? Perhaps they didn't think it would be found so quickly, so they were going to add it in on the fall update.


And seriously, of course they don't kill off MC. Check the end of the credits. You always...and I mean always...leave a cash cow like that open to revist. Sure they say that they won't be making another halo game...but maybe they worded it that Bungie as part of Microsoft won't make another halo game, or no new xbox halo game will be made...give them a couple tries at some other games, and when they find out they could be making $texas instead of $idaho, they'll come back to it. Probably won't be on the 360, but you watch...if they stay with M$, there will be a halo game on the next gen system.

I was pissed the arbiter made it though, lol. And wtf is up with the "final boss fight"...are you serious? That massive flood attack before it was much harder than lasering sparks 5 times.....oh well.

so last night me and the goat were playing 2v2 customs against our friend and his other friend who is already a level 47 (out of 50) its pretty crazy, but they said it is a lot easier to level in h3 if u havent already noticed.

I've heard that this is the last Halo game, it's a trilogy. But that just means that the "Halo" storyline is over. No more worrying about the Halos being used to wipe out humanity. What is not over is the Halo universe. So Master Chief is alive, Cortana is up and functioning, the Convenent are heading home. If you beat it on legendary, you will see even more after the credits as Master Chief and Cortana's piece of the ship heads towards the horizon of an unknown planet. Who knows what that means, or even when this is, a year later, 10 years later, 100 years?

So, don't think that we're done seeing this cast for a second. All quotes I've seen have said that the Halo trilogy is over. They say nothing about never seeing another Master Chief game. I think we'll be seeing a new wacky adventure

^^when you're in boxer setting while dual wielding it's the triggers that fire. Pushing Y will drop your off hand weapon and I assume that pushing B will drop your weapon and melee...not sure, I run with default setting for now because I value the precise aiming of grenades higher than melee. Might put melee on L bumper if its possible.
