^exactly. i'm really hoping they make the playoffs, so i've been following denver and dallas' every game lately, hoping they lose. warriors didn't help themselves when they got destroyed by dallas the other night. and i hate the lakers, but i'm glad they came back to beat dallas last night.

the Warriors slipped in to the playoffs for the first time in 1,200 years last year, made history and got bounced. But that doesn't mean the playoffs would "feel the same"? ummm ok that doesn't make me a dumbass, that makes me someone that's watched basketball longer than the last 11 months.

on that note, I'd much rather see the Warriors make the playoffs than Denver or Dallas. They are by far the most entertaining team in the league and who didn't fall in love with them while they were sticking it to Dallas last year. Those home crowds combined with the little guy effect made a great story. They play tough, physical and fast, it's like pick-up basketball. Basically an athletic version of the Suns from five months ago.

It doesn't seem like the playoffs, with the Hornets on top of the Western Conference. I can't believe this isn't getting even more press.

^^heh, yeah "feel the same" is poorly worded. but i don't think it can be argued that the less playoffs would be less exciting if the warriors don't make it....unless you're just a mavs or nuggests fan.

Van GUndy, Jackson and Breen are the best. I though van gundy would be boring, but he is actually funny and provides great analysis.

http://blogs.newsobserver.com/accnow/index.php?title=two_year_rule_expected_from_nba_ncaa&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

2 year rule for the NBA

SAN ANTONIO — NCAA president Myles Brand and NBA commissioner David Stern are holding a press conference here on Monday and are expected to announce a change in the NBA's draft eligibility policy.

Brand hinted Thursday the NCAA and NBA had worked out a deal to create a 20-year-old age limit, which would keep the best players in college for a minimum of two years.

The NBA adopted a 19-year-old age limit in its collective bargaining agreement with the players' association in 2006, which prevented high school players from jumping directly to the NBA.

[More:]

The rule created so-called "one and done" stars like Ohio State's Greg Oden, Texas' Kevin Durant and UNC's Brandan Wright.

Two freshman, Indiana's Eric Gordon and N.C. State's J.J. Hickson have already decided to enter the draft. Kansas State's Michael Beasley is expected to join them.

BTW...Ben Wallace and Wally S. have kinda sucked for the Cavs. They better hope that trade starts to pan out for them when the playoffs start.

Big game tonight with the Suns and Spurs...and Golden State and Denver tomorrow night. No work for me both nights...im fucking amped.

jesus christ, do the spurs always stare in disbelief at the officials every single time they're called for a foul?

if they had a slogan it'd be "WHAT'D I DO?"

It's 79-70 Phoe with 8.5 minutes left and yet i still have no confidence in them. These guys just can't fucking win this year for some reason.

Nice win for the Suns. Its great that they can finally beat the Spurs...but I'm just worried about the other 6 Western Conference playoff teams. That Mavs loss this past weekend still stings.

^He's been having his "shit together" for the past 10 or so games. Last night wasn't even above average for him statistically. Although he definitely had a great fourth quarter.

"Shit together" refers to not dropping passes carelessly and low field goal percentage. Basically, a help to the Suns instead of a 36 year old burden.

Fortunately, last night was his highest field goal percentage (78%) since PHX played the rockets on 3-22-08. (which was 9 games ago.. he was 8/10 from the field ).

thats hardly a solid barometer for overall success

Beidrens lead the league in field goal percentage and he's not even one of the three best players on his team

Denver better step it the fuck up. If they lose tonight their season could be over.

And once again, fuck George Karl, and his worthless "can't coach his way out of a paper bag" ass.

GO NUGGETS!!

I think it would take a miracle for them to get in now.

There are what....3 games left for both teams?? And one of Golden State's games being at Phoenix. They can't tie Denver, because Denver owns the tiebreaker. They basically have to win out while Denver has to lose out. I'm pretty sure Denver has some gimmes left.

Hopefully Denver loses to Utah tonight and the W's can get a much needed win against the Clippers... wish Brand wasn't back.

If there isn't a baseball game on they'd rather watch a fucking cooking show than an NBA basketball game down here in Charleston.

I almost got into it with a couple guys on Thursday night when they wanted to watch a replay of the first round of the Masters instead of the Warriors/Nuggets game. When they kept wanting the channel changed, I quickly gave them the leaderboard and told them about the hole in one...said they could catch the highlights on ESPN tonight at 11.

They like hunting shows too. I don't know what satellite channel has hunting shows at 9pm every night...but if I find out where it's located...I'm going to blow it up.

i wish the warriors/suns game was on tv. the warriors were down 14 at the half, but with their playoff hopes on the line, they're up now by 6 near the end of the third quarter.

too bad all denver has to do is beat memphis and they're in. sucks for the warriors. all theeey had to do was beat denver at home the other night!!!

Great place to get links to streams for NBA games. They constantly post links in the threads that expire after a few seconds, so you have to be quick with the refresh, grab the link and open it in Windows Media Player. Once you've got it playing, it'll stay until you close it. Pretty solid streams too, higher quality and more stable then anything you'll get at channelsurfing or on sopcast.

Bulls - 151
Bucks - 135

wtf?? These guys definitely didn't feel like playing defense tonight. And who the fuck is this Ramone Sessions kid. He's been putting up crazy assists numbers recently....but 20 points and 24 assists?? Good lord!

And there should be NBA games on TV every night. Suns/Warriors and Spurs/Kings going down to the wire. Damnit!

I'll gladly pay for League Pass if they can get most of the games in HD. I don't think thats the case yet though, at least not with TWC.

I wonder if Carmelo is going to get a suspension or any kind of punishment for the DUI. For sure he'll hear boo's at opposing areanas.
