Oh man what a fucking game, my foot is so swollen (broke my leg in july), I was the guy with the 1 crutch down on the court when everyone rushed, lol thanks to the dozens of people being hyped and wishing me recovery , awesome crowd over at the belltower too.

i am 23 years old. i graduated in 2008 in engineering. i rushed the court 1 time against UNC in my career at ncstate, and it was glorious.

my boss gave me tickets for the game tonight, late afternoon. i found some customers that wanted to go, and we tailgated 2 hours before the game before heading into the Arena Club.

we sat in section 105.

we watching the wolfpack dominate the devils, and i was rowdy as fuckin hell.

with 1 minute left i handed over all of my belongings to my customers and told them that i would meet them at the car.

i proceeded to jump over the concrete wall that separates the alumni section 105 from the students.

several young students asked me where to rush the court from. i then proceeded to jump over the scorer's table with 3.0 seconds remaining, and rush the court.

this was arguably one of the best ncstate nights of my career. no, im not growing up. and yes, i rushed the court for the 2nd time.

I loved our Defense last night. Lot of hustle to get back after shots, and a lot of good press. We dictated the momentum of the game, and with the crowd as loud as it was, it was the perfect combination for the win.

I was a freshman the last time we beat Duke. We painted our faces red (with acrylic paint-- freshman mistake), had courtside, half-court seats, and rushed the court. I remember the "Gay-J chant" for Redick, and Melvin, Hodge, and Sherrill dominating the game. The "# 1 Stunner" full front page in the Technician was by far and away the best cover I've ever seen on the paper. (And I still own it)

What a great way to reminisce.

This was a great game by NCSU that I haven't seen in a while. It wasn't one of these upsets where it was a panic at the end and a lucky basket. It was complete domination. Not because Duke played so well, but because NCSU dominated.

You can credit any number of players/coaches for this HUGE win, but to me the BIG BIG key to the game was shot selection. Why did State have only 12 attempts from beyond the arc? State worked the ball around and absolutely shredded Duke's defense. State had too many great looks inside (see Tracy Smith's staggering shooting %). Can't do that to a home team in the ACC.

You don't shred a great team like Duke with the squad NC State has without 3 things:

1) Playing at home
2) Hot shooting night from your key players
3) GREAT COACHING

Congrats Sid for finally get a win to hang your hat on. The Lowe Haters... well... they can stuff it for the next few days.

A couple of very impressive stats from the game:

- Only NINE turnovers to Duke's 14
- A total of EIGHTEEN assists, eight from Javi alone
- Combined 58% shooting, and made 5 of just 12 3-pt shots
- FIVE combined blocks to Duke's ONE
- 73% from the FT line (19 of 26 - not outstanding, but very solid)

That's what's so satisfying about this win. We didn't need a fluky offensive system or a junk defense to beat them. We didn't have to have Wood go unconscious and hit 10 3pts. We just looked them right in the face and pounded dat ass. We were more energetic, more disciplined, and seemingly more talented than a team loaded with McD's All-Americans. It feels good.
