If Dennis Rodman did what he did in the NBA without turning into a complete lunatic he would have been remembered so much differently. To even mention Jamison and Williams contributions in the same sentence with Rodman does a complete disservice to him.

I personally love Jordan, but he also can be a huge dick and classless, has a massive gambling addition, cheated on his wife...

^ Agreed. Rodman's contributions were much more important to the overall success of the Pistons/Bulls than anything Jamison or Williams could ever do.

Differently, yes, but he wouldn't be nearly as famous.

It's much harder to get noteriety playing defense and grabbing rebounds.

Oh

Well I don't waste time concerning myself with the personal life of athletes. Millions of people are assholes, or have some addiction, or cheat on their wife/husband.

^^ same, could really care less what they do in their personal lives.

However you asked how someone could be a hater, and often times people judge their athletes off the field/court and with Jordan there are certainly some things to hate on if you want. I imagine most Utah Jazz fans hate him too for on court reasons.

Not sure if this was mentioned on the previous page but CP plans on getting out of New Orleans by the start of this season in a trade.

Does Chris Paul have any kind of no trade clause, where he can veto a trade to a team he doesn't approve of?

I don't think he does, but he sure is acting like it

If I'm hornets brass, I tell him to shut the fuck up and he'll go where we tell him to go

He's an employee of the team, and has no say in the matter

so how are Wade, Lebron and CP3 going to be on the same team? Is Miami going to trade Bosh?

so? how can Miami afford Paul, without giving up a high salary player like Bosh?

or when you say they'll play together eventually, do you mean in like 7 years from now at the twilights of their careers

JTbucky thinks Chris Paul will except a $5.8 million mid level exception from Miami to play with his friends

Thats $5.8 million/year for one of the top 5 players in the game

For JTbucky, this is acutally pretty sound logic

I think he means 2 years from now, when Lebron and Wade hate each others guts, like 10x worse than Shaq and Kobe, and realize that their experiment was a total failure, one of them will be traded to the Knicks, for Amare, to play with Melo and CP3

the trade could work if miami emptied the house

haslem 3.5million
+miller 5 million
+5.8 million left
=14.3million

for paul

14.3 million which is more than wades 14.2

This is just an unbelievable statement. Rodman was one of the elite players of the decade, Mo Williams is barely an average PG.

Perhaps you were too young to remember his career but he was a dominant rebounder/defender who averaged 15-18.7 rebs/yr in his prime despite playing limited minutes in a few of those years.

Comparing him to Antawn Jamison is like comparing John Stockton and Jarrett Jack.

^^ getting miller and haslem at below market value was huge but they really need another big body to neutralize the lakers killer frontline if they want to guarantee a championship this year. A lot will depend on if varnado is ready, I'm still surprised ben wallace wasn't part of the mix it seemed like a perfect fit.

They've certainly got plenty of outside shooting to surround the big three. They may become so efficient offensively that their interior defense never plays much of a factor since they should be unbelievable on the wings.

i just wish this football season would fly by so basketball can get here. with the big three freshmen coming to state to turn things around, and this big three making the NBA so interesting, this winter is gonna be fun. (not to mention how bad state football's gonna be )

^^BLASPHEMY! I couldnt disagree with you more. I love the NFL and college football seasons so much more than college basketball and especially the NBA. I dont care how bad our team is going to be this year, there is nothing better than tailgating all day and sitting in the stands for a State game.

The NBA season is going to suck pretty bad this year, there are going to be 5-6 really good teams, and then a bunch of bottom-feeders. Sure the games between the Heat, Lakers, Magic, and Heat will be good games to watch, but the majority of the season will be more boring than any season we've ever seen (except maybe for those few years when the Spurs and Pistons were the best teams in the league)

I, too, expect Lebron and DWade to get in an egotistical pissing match a few months into the season that completely ruins the entire team's chemistry

That is, if one of them doesn't get injured first for having to play 46 minutes a night

The games between the heat and middle teams like the bobcats will be interesting on random nights when you turn on the tv and the heat are down 5 in the 4th.

just like in college when the #1 team in the nation loses every week. Every heat game will be like those.
