Kanye West's video for "Monster" ft. Rick Ross, Bon Iver, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj. Pretty crazy video.
Quote : | "With an introductory disclaimer that reads, "The following content is in no way to be interpreted as misogynistic or negative towards any groups of people. It is an art piece and it shall be taken as such," the video launches into women hanging by nooses, Kanye setting up a threesome with corpses, Jay-Z raps over dead women and evil Nicki Minaj busts out the S&M gear to torture her good self." |

Is the Rosebuds' Birds Make Good Neighbors a "rare record"? Because the chance of not otherwise being able to obtain it was certainly the only motivation in buying it today.... 6/8/2011 11:15:56 PM |

It's out of print on vinyl as far as I know. It's not worth a hundred bucks or anything, but it isn't easy to find.

NumbWall All American 1613 Posts user info edit post |
^ that review is garbage. They only talked about a few of the songs, and it seemed that they lost points with the reviewer for making a "heavy" album-- an album that (god forbid) made him feel something, as opposed to a lot of the emotionally sterile crap that comes out these days 6/9/2011 11:13:07 AM |

this one -- 7.3
night of the furies -- 7.7
life like -- 7.2
birds make good neighbors -- 8.1
the rosebuds make out -- 7.3
not exactly going out on a limb by predicting they would get in the mid 7 range, LOL
Pitchfork's getting really, really bad these days. Coke Machine Glow, ftw.6/9/2011 11:50:37 AM |

And it appears I got the Rosebuds' best album ever yesterday!!

I have Birds Make Good Neighbors on vinyl.
How much?
I'm digging the new album a lot, but I still don't think it is as good as BMGN. It definitely is going to get a few more listens though.6/9/2011 4:27:16 PM |
jstpack All American 2184 Posts user info edit post |
I don't know if they'll ever make a record as good as BMGN.
If I had to rank them right now it'd be:
1. bmgn 2. tie between Make Out and the new one (new one will likely over-take this one, i just have a soft spot for Make Out) 3. Night of the Furies
and a very, very distant 4th for Life Like.
hell, i would even put the Unwind EP above Life Like in terms of quality tracks, even though it's not a full length. 6/9/2011 4:36:42 PM |

Metal goodness probably 2010 but basically unknown Le Grand Guignol - The Great Maddening Orakle - Tourments Et Perdition
