Good effort, bad results.

We opened up really, really soft. Tracy couldn't finish and Lowe made the mistake of using a lineup that couldn't score for 5 minutes when we were down by double digits.

When it comes down to it we rebounded REALLY poorly. We missed way too many easy shots. Wood took tough shots instead of good shots again. Howell didn't assert himself enough. Painter played like ass again. Javi choked in the clutch.

Most importantly, Lorenzo just plain out shit the bed. He is just terrible with the basketball, he is a walking turnover.

He never gets to the free throw line, he doesn't play good defense.

He is not an asset right now, period.

We need him to be a leader, a scorer, and a good overall basketball player.

As of right now he's not really any of that.

Lorenzo, you are a scorer and good basketball player. Get free throws, make shots & assists, work your fucking magic.

We fucking need you. CJ Leslie stepped it up, now its your turn. We can't win without you.

I'm not saying that we didn't miss a ton of easy shots, but those were coupled with many ill advised shots. When shots weren't falling inside, they just kept trying to force them inside. I don't think we had any possessions where we would drive and kick. I remember our guys talking about doing that all last year, and how everyone online kept talking about the good guard play we had coming in this year. Now it's here and we do jack shit with it.

Looks like we played all the way up to 4:01 left in the game by the ESPN game cast, where BC scored a 3 to tie the game at 60. Not too shabby.

rally, I agree with your general assessment of Lorenzo, but I find it hard to believe that he drives to the basket so rarely because he chooses to. We FINALLY have not one, but two guards who can drive past their man to the basket and shake up the D a bit. The only one I see doing that is Ryan, but as many others, I don't feel that he is getting enough time on the court. Lorenzo does do it in games, but a majority of the time, he is handling the ball out on the perimeter, which seems to be where many of his turnovers occur.

I just want to see our guards given more of a chance to do their thing.

I gotta say I was a supporter of Javi because he seemed to work hard and get better every year.

This year he can't shoot, he sulks, and he still sucks at the stuff he sucked at 3 years ago.
