Is it common for opposing teams to bring their own footballs to play with when they go on offense?



Also, my favorite part of the day was after the ball that was tipped/intercepted at the D-Line, a bunch of Carolina fans above the student section started leaving, and people started jingling their keys. There was one old fan - he had to have been at least 65 years old - and he was clearly all pissed off and just gave everyone below the finger before turning to head down the stairs.

awesome game, awesome crowd throughout the entire game too

I was telling everyone I was with today that I wouldnt be surprised with any outcome today, but I must admit that I am very surprised to have pitched a shutout. Our defense looked amazing, and our running game was solid. The weakest part of our game today was our passing offense.

A couple negatives-

-I HATE the prevent offense we go into when we have a lead. It felt like we were running the ball up the middle and throwing bubble screens for the entire 4th quarter
-The whole "wear white shirts in odd numbered sections" idea was awful. It made it feel like UNC had a lot more fans in the stands than they really had



I hope this shows up, UNC flag flying at half mast as the flagship sinks

Not to shit on our win party, but that's EXACTLY what we were doing. Did you see how well we were throwing down the field? Not well. The problem with not throwing the ball well is that it stops the clock.

The more we throw it, the more time we give UNC to mount a comeback.

We ran the ball because it was the best thing to do at the time. Making progress three and four yards at a time is better than big chunks anyway, especially when they don't end in touchdowns.

The prevent offense. I hate it.

It worked today because our defense played great and unc's offense kept shitting on themselves. I've seen us (and countless other teams) squander leads doing this. We dont have to throw bombs, but sticking to our regular offense when you're up by less than two TDs isnt such a bad thing either.
