Played the Darius Rucker Wagon Wheel and when Deb finally allows a rap song, it's one from 10 years ago. 9/5/2013 1:44:45 PM |

LOL at complaining about Wagon Wheel being played at the stadium. I like that song and Rucker's version of it. Plus it mentions Raleigh and NC in the song so it's pretty appropriate that they would play it at an NC State event. 9/5/2013 1:47:21 PM |

I have nothing against Wagon Wheel either. I think it's funny they play Rucker's version at football and Old Crow Medicine Show's at all others. You know LSU plays Callin' Baton Rouge a lot. 9/5/2013 1:50:26 PM |

prefer the OCMS version of Wagon Wheel.. by far. Rucker gave it a pop sound and just made it popular.

i think both versions are a weird choice for a football game, but if i had to choose, i'd go with OCMS 9/5/2013 2:16:03 PM |

^ So you honestly don't see why they would play a country song that is currently popular and has lyrics that clearly reference Raleigh and NC at an NC State football game when probably 50% or more of the people at the game listen to country music and enjoy the song? Really? Are you being OBJECTIVE. 9/5/2013 3:42:05 PM |

if it was a song explicitly ABOUT Raleigh, sure, but just a random reference in a song? I mean, hell, the song says heading west from the Cumberland Gap to Johnson City, TN... Johnson City is 2 hours EAST of the Cumberland Gap. They obviously just inserted random locations.
As for the pop country factor, not my fault they like shit music 9/5/2013 3:53:43 PM |

I think we'd be 15-20 if we beat Clemson. No way we get to close to being top 10.
There's also no way we beat Clemson. I know we crushed them a couple years ago when they were top 10 and we were unranked...but he had an NFL QB and a nasty secondary. I don't think our current team has any upset potential...which is kinda sad. 9/10/2013 11:11:45 AM |

As much as it would be the most Clemson thing ever to come in and lose to us, it ain't happening this year.
And even then only some dumb AP voter on the other coast who didn't actually know anything about the program this year would vote us in the polls. We would be others receiving votes at best. 9/10/2013 11:32:23 AM |

Only chance we have is if Tahj Boyd goes all Chris Weinke on us and throws six INTs. But I even think that NC State team had some NFL corners...as well as Holt and Barnette. FSU also went downfield a lot where this Clemson team will bubble screen us to death with Watkins running for about 1,000 YAC.
God...this game scares the fuck out of me for it's 70-13 potential score. I live in South Carolina...and while Clemson fans are slightly more tolerable than USC fans...its not that big of a gap. And now that they're top 5...its much worse. 9/10/2013 11:44:46 AM |

You guys don't understand how the voters work. IF we beat clemson, it wouldn't be a normal upset because clemson is already cemented as being good. The polls can't just diregard clemson the next week as they normally would in an upset because clemson has beaten georgia and georgia has beaten usc which makes them legit.
the only alternative would be to discredit the entire sec east. along with the acc atlantic.
i agree that it is almost impossible for us to beat clemson but that doesn't mean we can't admit that we would rocket into top 10
you can't put us behind clemson if we demolish them and havnet lost and you can't have 1 loss sec teams very far ahead of clemson either. 9/10/2013 8:20:32 PM |

When you struggle at home to put up yards against an FCS team, yes, the voters can hold that against you, even if you eek out a win against a top-5 team the next week 9/10/2013 9:41:41 PM |
