^I think those were posted at 8:30 Eastern time, are you on Central time? Also, lol at thinking 7:30 is crazy early to be at work... oh to be young again.

I remember when I thought 8:05 classes were "ridiculously early" and it was unreasonable to think people could function by then. Damn I miss those days.

I'm getting old. The earlier I get to work, the earlier I get out. I like to get out of the office with some daylight so I can go on a run and take my dog to the dog park. I go in at 6:45 and I'm usually out by 4pm...most of the times earlier. I like it.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the Braveheart speech. I think its cool and it did get people pumped up. But I don't think it needs to happen before every game. Save it for the acc tournament at this point.

The sound was pretty bad with music on music on announcing. The video clips werent cut well. Too abrupt. It was very odd. You cant cut them that short. The video was just all over the place. SOme things too short, some too long. Boring parts too long and exciting parts too short it seemed like

there's no music, the entire video is game highlights. there's literally no editing, just taking the good parts of the broadcast. that's how you make a good highlight video.

Well if i just did that I would just be copying him. I realize that is the best way to do it but what I'm trying to do is put a little different spin on it other than just making the same thing as every other highlight video.

He always has made the best NC State videos and always will, but there would be no point in me making something exactly the same as his videos. I try to add more shots of the crowd and things before/after the game.

You have every right not to like it, that's just not the style or theme I'm going for. There is more than one way to approach a highlight video.

^^ Fair enough, I'm not saying you're wrong. I've only tried this 4 times now so I'm not going to pretend like I'm an expert or that I'm really good or something. Thanks for the feedback I'll try to improve on that if/when I make another.

I liked your video overall...I really appreciated the Gameday clips since, while I watched the whole game, I only saw bits and pieces of the last 30 minutes or so of Gameday, not all the clips you included from throughout the day

I thought there was a little too much Braveheart stuff...some of it was good, but imo didn't need as much as it had...but I did like how it set the tone and built up the excitement before the game

Gameday, Braveheart, etc helped add to the atmosphere of the experience, and I liked them, but also wanted to see more highlights...while I liked seeing Leslie posterize white dude from 8 angles, I would've liked to see a few more of State's good plays, since there were so many

I liked it overall, but my main suggestion would be more highlights, especially in a game with so many

also one other thing, and maybe you noticed this as well when you watched it, but the introductions or whatever with Mr. Wuf walking around halfcourt, they were hard to see and I thought they just kind of filled space a bit too much

^^ Yeah I can agree with that, I probably should have only included like the beginning and then maybe 2 or 3 other lines. A lot of people have been saying that and I definitely don't disagree with them. I appreciate you taking the time to give me your thoughts.

Absolutely agree on the highlights part. I'll try to focus on more with the actual game in the future. I think that if you take NCSUftw1's video and mine together they can almost be like a nice complement to each other instead of competing.


The sound/smoothness of the clips definitely needs work. Keep the comments coming guys

for Reeves though, in that Duke video I did like the shot for 4 or 5 straight seconds of Coach K looking upset...it never hurts to throw in a shot of the opposing coach looking less than happy about how the game is going

Seriously, watch the highlight videos from Holy Cross, Elon (Dennis Horner career high in that one), etc.

Why would anybody waste time making highlight videos from those games? There probably was a legitimate shot we'd lose or something...
