I thought it was a fairly officiated game or inconsistent both ways, whichever way you want to spin it, I knew when the Magic vs. Bird showdown started in the 2nd half, it was going to come down to which one would miss a shot and it just happened to be a TJ free throw, all in all great effort, the best we've ever looked in a loss in some time against UNC ( numerous double digit L's for years), I'm proud of their effort, because for years we haven't gotten any effort from talented teams and this one is raw talent wise, but developing well for next season.

Two things before I get into my "excuses" part:

(1) we make a couple free throws and we win...yeah...they could do the same...but they are even a worse free throw shooting team than we are...so fuck them

(2) Marcus Paige is a beast (not as big of a beast as Warren...but close)...and he hit some big ass fucking shots for them to win this game.


Now to my very rare "blame it on the refs" part...which I HATE to do...and will regret doing in the morning...but...

Warren gets raked on the fucking forearm with 4 seconds left and then they call the 50/50 foul on Lewis...and they knew it was wrong because they made the makeup foul call immediately afterwards...I mean...it was so fucking obvious it made me sick. I almost wanted Warren to miss one of the free throws just so we could hold it against them. But lo and behold we actually play well in overtime (with a few defensive lapses).

AND THERE WE GO AGAIN...Warren gets raked across the arm with 36 seconds left and up by 2...and they give UNC the fucking ball...and it's over by then. Of course we're going to make 1 of 2...and of course Paige is going to make the fucking layup because he has ice in his fucking veins....GOT I FUCKING HATE UNC.

Okay...I think I can go to bed now.

I'm just not comfortable with saying they got all the calls when we got a pretty big no-call right before that. each team benefited during the same play, they were just the last to benefit

there was only one absolutely awful no-call, and that was on Warren at the end of regulation, but that isn't the reason we lost the game
