i usually have decent experiences in the apple store. hate crowds, so i don't go in unless i really need to usually.

though one time that stands out... i have no clue how it came up, but employee in the crabtree apple store more or less called me stupid for saying rubber came from trees... guess she _is_ working retail.

I think they'd more likely be using some very thin, transparent, non-conductive coating. A week back or so there were rumors that this was already happening, because the metal in more recently shipped units didn't look as shiny or something.

My main complaint about Apple stores is that 90% of the people in there treat it like a public library. They just set up shop on the computers so if you're one of the few that's actually interested in buying something you usually can't find a free one to play with. I've seen people in there with a backpack, headphones on, and snacks just posted up on a computer for hours.

It's the little .?123 button in the bottom left on the keyboard.

If you want to type a bunch of numbers or symbols you hit the number button to change the keyboard then you type all the numbers and symbols. but if you only want to type one, you can press and hold the button and then drag to the character you want and release and it and it automatically goes back to the regular keyboard.

I didn't realize so many people didn't know about that. Don't you people read the manual?

I'm finally giving in and getting the 13" MBP. I don't care that it doesn't have the i3/i5. I'm content with the core 2 duo and Nvidia 320m. It'll basically be a replacement for my netbook which i'm trying to sell. I find the 10 hour battery life appealing on the 13" MBP. Even though it's basically a Macbook with the aluminium case.

What about the free ipod? How does that work? I read something about you just buying the ipod, then getting a $199 rebate or something? I wish I could just tell them to just take off $200 from the price in addition to the $100 discount instead of dealing with selling the ipod.

dropped my 3gs last night while brushing my teeth.. busted the f'in screen

god dammit. this has been the worst week ever

what's the cheapest way to fix this and is it worth doing? it still works fine, just looks like hell.

i'm eligible for a iphone 4 on Thursday so I was going to sell this one and get one of those but not sure what to do now

Jobs continued shit head attitude over these issues is why this will be my last iphone.

I actually have a really hard time with the prox sensor. I hang up on people all the time. My wife finally got one this past week, and was dropping calls left in right. It was embarassing.

it works just fine. i've been running it for about 8 months now. actually, it works better than xp did. it definitely moves a LOT faster. i have a 32gb ssd. i haven't had any compatibility/driver issues. it boots & wakes way quicker than before. no battery issues. still running in the 4ish hour range.

i've pulled off some of the keyboard buttons and switched keys to put the apostrophe up next to the home keys (i have the first gen one with the retard keyboard). i didn't know how/if you can do that with windows.
