Ambrosia, is your hair naturally straight? Just wondering. Post after pics, cause for some reason I'm really fascinated.

Nah. Between straight and wavy - it's got the smooth texture and cuticle, and straightens out very easily, and then settles into LARGE curls. Like, paddle brush + blowdryer = almost stick straight. At first

Ambrosia, if you add a side-swept bang, it will REALLY fix the overall look.

It'll also add more femininity and soften it up so it's not so sharp/harsh..

I'd leave the rest alone and let it grow out on its own.

i got my haircut. off the total length was like 4 inches

it doesn't look that different in these pics, they are shitty. but i have side bangs, which are out of my face here so you can't tell and admittedly annoy the SHIT out of me. but they look cute when my hair is up.

and i have a bunch of layers. my old shape was still a bob shape from last jan when i had my last haircut (whoops) so it was really long and i wasn't into it anymore. now i have layers and bangs and its considerably shorter than it was! but still not ultra short. looks slightly longer in these pics cause i'm leaning over kinda. it def looks healthier than it did at least. my split ends were bad!!!

thanks!! this is the same one you've already seen (haircut)! but i did it at hair color xperts or whatever. i don't have a normal haircutter but one day after work i was like i cannot stand my dry, split end hair anymore. hadn't cut since jan last year and like when i washed it i couldn't even get my fingers through it. so i made an appt there cause i couldn't afford an $$$ cut at the time. i got paid this week and prob should have waited but oh well!!! i got it cut with a flamboyantly gay man named charles at hair color xperts hahaha. he was hilarious and tried to talk to me about glee. but i don't watch glee. sad.

^ haha thanks

can anyone recommend a lady parts doctor that works at a general practice in Raleigh? I think my copay is lower if I don't go see a "specialist" which apparently planned parenthood is. I just need my yearly check up done but I also want to be able to go in if I've got the flu or something non lady parts related.

help? would be great if they were in North Raleigh but I have gps so i'll travel

So, went to goodwill today to pick up some halloween stuff and ended up finding a Lambskin Leather Valentino Jacket and its in awesome shape. I wish it fit me. I bought it anyway and hope to sell it. Any ideas of where I might take it?

I have a presentation today and don't want to wear my suit pants + button-down (for the 1,000th time)

How does this look? (ps: the skirt is only 2 inches above my knee, so I don't know why it looks so shorter in the pic than in the mirror... but anyways, white blouse + tweed skirt + black tights + black booties)

I'm leaving soon so I'd like someone to speak up

The print on the skirt looks kind of animal-print-ish or something in the picture. I like the look a lot but not the way the pattern on the skirt looks. So if that is just a camera thing, go for it. Otherwise I think the skirt would need to be a little simpler to be really presentation-appropriate.

[Edited on October 28, 2010 at 12:10 PM. Reason : ^ oh definitely not animal print... I guess you could call it a mini checkerboard pattern?]

I'd recommend somebody but I hated my general doctor before I left raleigh. I do recommend Dr. Allison Jacokes of Associates in Women's health.

I thought she just wanted a doc who would do non-gyn care too. I wasn't aware general practice doctors did "lady parts" stuff.

sorry for the double post

A while ago I was asking for help on finding a new foundation and I wanted to update you.

I decided to try out Tarte's Smooth Operator tinted moisturizer. I really like it so far. It's got a lot of pigment so it's more like a foundation but it's not at all mask feeling. It's all natural ingredients with a bunch of plant extracts and whatever is in it calms down a lot of my redness in my nose and cheeks and so far it hasn't broken me out. I'll report back if it does but so far I like it.

nah pretty sure she doesn't... but I know both Red Mist and Big Daddy would put black around their eyes for their masks so the holes didn't look weird

plus this way if the mask gets annoying I'll still be nice looking and not like whoa busted
