i babysit Jen's godsons every thursday

they're tracked out of school this week though so i was secretly hoping i wouldn't have to (only because of the show tonight, not that babysitting interferes, because i'll be done by 8 or 8:30, but i was just being lazy)

one of them definitely hates me. today i think i'm going to bring board games over in an attempt to win some cool points. if that is even possible in this situation, which i don't think it is :/ because i only babysit after school, i am the enforcer of all things bad: punishments, homework, eating dinner (usually consisting of veggies they don't wanna eat), bath time and reading time. i have to make them do all the things they hate haha, i feel like a meanie. i'd probably hate me, too.

I've never known board games to be much of a 'cool' thing... on the other hand, if they're old enough to understand it, bringing over a poker set could probably win you some points.

Back when I was a kid, my babysitter would just play SNES with me for a while. My parents weren't happy with him when they found out.

^^^ they aren't allowed to play video games. and one isn't allowed to watch TV (sometimes both aren't allowed, depending on behavior). so it is hard to figure out things to do that don't involve hitting each other. i have cool board games (not like, monopoly). they aren't old enough for poker. they are in 1st and 3rd grade. or there is a chance i might just bring over some DVDs and let them choose one to watch (like ice age or something). Jen always breaks the rules when she watches them so i might do it this time haha.
