He would probably have been the best guard on our team over the past three years (which is very sad).

Not exactly good...but definitely not sucking cock. And he was a pretty damn good shooter. He shot almost 60% one year from 3pt range. Pretty fucking ridiculous.

one of my biggest complaints is that he's had trouble winning games when anything goes wrong - everyone has to play well, the guards have to play over their heads, no BS can happen, etc

well today Smith had issues with the bigger Collins/Gamble frontcourt and we were terrible from the FT line but still got the win

yea it was ugly and Miami sucks too, but these are the games he should be winning this year and he hadnt been to date. Also, this gets us to 4 conference wins which is IMO above the "totally embarrassing" line

Agreed with everything you said. Haith isn't a great coach, but I'm really not sure how Miami is so bad -- they've got talent, size, athleticism, etc.

I wish we could fast-forward to next November. Lowe did his best coaching job this season with 20 wins. Next year is the year that will decide his career. If he lands Leslie and we have to finish top 4.

he needs to find a way to get his team to play the whole year the same way they play in march. talent aside, we never seem to have urgency in january. thats a coaching problem. Its also why duke has an image that they aren't that good in march. Its because they play their best all year then look like they've gotten worse when most other teams turn it on.

K is a master at scheduling teams that aren't good enough to beat duke but aren't bad enough to hurt their RPI.

2 top 25 RPI teams and 2 200+ RPI teams give the same strength of schedule as 4 125 RPI teams[

^^^^ All the commentary about the team playing better in the late season this year is crap. We finally got to play BC and Miami and beat them because they sucked. We would have beat those teams in the early season. The truth of the matter is we were playing about the same at the end of the season as we were in Jan we just happened to play teams that we matched up against well.

we actually played pretty good defense in like the 8 games before the UAB game.

And don't call it slower pace. Anything below 100 efficiency isn't bad against good teams. Around 90 is pretty damn good.

Starting with that WF game 6/8 games were under 100 efficiency. 4 were below 90. And in that WF game it was fucking 77.7. Those numbers say we played some damn good defense

And you argue that we were playing our best basketball at the end of the season when two of our best wins happened towards the beginning. State was the same team at the end of the season they just finally got to play teams that we could hide our weakness at guard against. I think Carolina and Virginia (w. Landesburg) would have still beaten us at the end of the season.

We improved but it wasn't this miraculous late season turn around that you idiots seem to think we had. How do you explain the UAB loss if we were suddenly this great team at the end of the season?
