I ended up just creating a brand new live.com account with the primary/default domain @outlook.com instead of trying to use my existing account
From there it was easy to setup on Android
Go to Accounts, add an Exchange account (Corporate Sync)
username is 'username@outlook.com' and password is obviously your password (might have to do '\username@outlook.com' depending on version of android)
when it asks for the name of the server, put in snt-m.hotmail.com
everything else should be self-explanatory, and you actually get alerts like you would any other email account on the phone] 4/1/2013 2:50:11 PM |

How is outlook.com domain more professional seeming than gmail? Its not like gmail is AOL, or yahoo, or angel fire. Lol.
Also, partyslutsTT10@outlook.com may still appear unprofessional. 4/11/2013 3:12:18 PM |

I use an Outlook address for professional stuff because I was able to snag my full name without dots or dashes. Looks smooth as hell compared to my gmail accounts.

I have a unique last name, so I never have any issue snagging whatever permutation. Lol.
But I would say I much rather prefer john.doe versus johndoe. Breaking it up makes it easier to read and remember, personally. 4/13/2013 2:14:55 PM |

So, oddly enough I learned this weekend that the dots in a gmail address are irrelevant. Gmail will send johndoe is the same as john.doe is the same as j.o.h.n.d.o.e
I did not know this. Maybe I have been hiding under a rock or something.4/15/2013 8:50:22 AM |

Do any of yall happen to know of a good otg micro sd card reader for the nexus 7. I am not looking to get a cable that dangles. I saw one on a blog recently that looked like it it went well with the tablet and wasn't just a usb drive sticking out of the side. Any ideas? I came up with nothing on my google search. 4/16/2013 8:51:11 PM |

Placed my $130 HTC One preorder last night with NewEgg (managed by Simplexity) since they're offering "free" FedEx Next Business Day.
The rep I talked to that confirmed my order said I should have it Thursday or Friday. Hope that's true.
If my Nexus S 4G was still working then I'd have waited until Google I/O to see what gets announced. But as it is, the HTC One reviews have fully convinced me that it's awesome. And being that I've spent the last 3 weeks trying to fix my NS4G problems, I'll be happy to have a working phone again.

I've got the same problem (GS3 on Verizon). I was always able to send picture messages, but never group MMS messages, then I got the 4.1.2 update and it worked for about a week. I swear I tested it with and without WiFi and it didn't send through either, but I just tried again and was able to with WiFi off. Haven't come across any solution yet, though.4/17/2013 6:49:34 PM |

Anyone else have a Motorola Droid 4? I've found that since getting Jellybean, my shift key on my physical keyboard just stops working in certain apps after a random number of days have passed. I have yet to detect a specific pattern, and a full reboot usually solves the problem, but I'd still love to know what's causing this. I'm such a spelling and grammar lunatic that I absolutely refuse to type in anything unless it's spelled correctly and has the proper capitalization... 4/18/2013 8:11:26 AM |

Just checked out the new HTC One at the AT&T store, definitely the best phone I've ever seen. The screen looks amazing, build quality is amazing, and the screen size is perfect without being overly bulky. I was going to wait until I saw the Samsung Galaxy S4 before I made my decision, but there is no chance I'm getting any other phone now. 4/18/2013 1:17:08 PM |

Eh it's nice but it's lacking too many features compared to the GS4.
The HTC One doesn't have an SD slot OR a removable battery. One of these is a no go for me. Both is just a disaster. Even though my Note 2 battery life is great I still love being able to swap out a battery on the go (picked up 2 additional batteries plus a charger for $20 on Amazon). Plus an extra 64GB for $50 is amazing for extra media.
Not to mention the better processor on the GS4.
Plus the HTC One is slightly thicker and heavier and relatively the same size as the GS4 but with a 0.3" smaller screen. I put a case on my phones anyway...

The Droid Bionic was finally updated to Jellybean. Overall I love the device, especially the lapdock. The first 6 months I had it, it was a piece of junk phone, with data drops 24/7. Once they updated it to ICS, it became a completely new phone. I was nervous about the jellybean update, but overall it seems to still be working great. A few months ago I got an extended battery, best decision I ever made.
I am out of contract and have considered getting a new phone, but why replace it when I have one that works amazing. But who knows, we'll see what happens after I/O. 4/18/2013 2:36:41 PM |

^^for me, the SD slot and removable battery are a non-factor. The One has 32GB built in which is far beyond what I'll need (and double what the standard GS4 comes with). The battery it comes with will last all day with room to spare, so being able to swap out the battery is of no use to me. I can still go all day on my EVO3D with a single charge more than a year and half later. And the One has a 2300mAh battery which is about 30% bigger than the 3D.
The processor on the GS4 is a tad faster on paper, but you would never be able to notice the difference in actual usage. They are both very snappy.
For me, the build quality and aesthetics of the phone far outweigh the minor difference in specs. 4/18/2013 4:57:43 PM |

Yeah I guess to each his own. I fly a lot and also backpack and being able to swap out the battery after a heavy day of use is essential at an airport or in the mountains. For the SD card I've only got 16GB on my current phone and the extra 64GB allows me to put music/movies on it for flying or traveling when streaming isn't an option. 4/18/2013 5:17:33 PM |

Yeah e.g. today I've been traveling all morning taking conference calls and watching GoTo's on my phone and at this rate I'll have a dead battery by early afternoon and my phone's got a 3100mAh battery that usually lasts 1.5-2 days with normal usage. Not being able to swap out my battery would be a disaster.
-plus I feel awesome not being one of those losers waiting in line for an outlet at the airport to get an extra 10% battery life before boarding a flight.

Haha those things are almost as bad as having to plug it in. It's much easier to just swap out the battery. Don't have to look like a nerd carrying around something attached to your phone.

As someone who has done a lot of traveling ... plug your phone into ^^that when you hop on the plane, or when you're not using your phone, and you'll be just fine ... I always have been.
But if you'd rather shut off your phone and restart it just to resume where you left off, by all means, multiple batteries are the way to go.

Yes, ^^^^that ($30 recharger) will serve them well for any battery powered device that's less than 5200mAh capacity and needs 5V, 1Amp input to charge.
I should add...
For a tablet or greater recharger capacity:
$40 - 8400mAh, Dual USB Port, 2.6Amps Output http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-PGMPP8400-External-sensation-Thunderbolt/dp/B0073F92OK/ref=pd_sim_cps_4
$60 - 12000mAh, Triple USB, 3Amps output http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-PGMPP12000-12000mAh-sensation-Thunderbolt/dp/B0085OB0IE/ref=pd_sim_cps_5
The only reason these days I can understand a need to swap/pull a battery is if the battery no longer works and you need a replacement. But I can't *knock on wood* remember the last time I had a battery issue that required a replacement...except for my 4 year old Dell laptop in 2009, but that doesn't count, does it?
