Ladies I need your help. I bought my fiance some Burberry perfume last year, but can't remember which kind. It's in a pink/clearish bottle, but I don't think it's this one.
It's in a similar looking bottle though, not curved or anything like that. 12/1/2010 9:13:58 AM |

Burberry Brit, perhaps? The one you posted is Burberry Brit Sheer
Oh and just so you know, the Eau de toilette is the one I posted above... there's also Burberry Brit in Eau de parfum form and it's the same bottle but has black plaid on it. ] 12/1/2010 10:53:06 AM |

yeah that might be it. I'll have to go to the store and smell to figure it out for sure I guess. I took a picture of it with Google Goggles to see if it would tell me, but it failed 12/1/2010 10:57:29 AM |

Hello Ladies!
I'm interested in taking pole-dancing fitness classes and was wondering if anyone has any experience, especially with Aradia. I'm pretty shy and am a little nervous about just showing up for a class, especially since I'm not what I consider super sexy (YET!). Any good experiences with the place? 12/2/2010 1:09:06 PM |

I have done other classes (lap dance and strip tease) but not pole dancing. But it's probably a similar experience. Everyone feels a little awkward and laughs at feeling silly for a few minutes until you loosen up, then nobody really cares. It's pretty fun.

omg I've always wanted to take these classes here they look awesome. I've been to strip clubs before in the past but not for the nudity. I just always thought what they can do is so cool. its like gymnastics on the high bar but its vertical.
plus watch this video, this is what really wanted me to do it.

I haven't been to Aradia but go to a similar facility here in Orlando. Great workout. There are definitely some strippers in the class, but mostly it's just women who want to enjoy a different workout. It takes a lot of upper body strength, which you'll develop along the way.
At my class, everyone wears heels. And most girls wear thigh-high boots with booty shorts. The boots help you grip the pole better, which is helpful when you're doing inverted moves (makes you less likely to fall on your head). So, the workout attire threw me for a loop ... I don't own even own a pair of heeled boots ... but once you get past that part, it's pretty awesome. Of course, dress code at Aradia may be different, so call ahead.

I LOVED Aradia when I went. I went with one of my close friends and the classes were really small like 10 girls and everyone seemed to be having a good time...It was a good mix of ages and body types too...and an amazing workout! If I had they money I would go back again and again.
Also everyone at Aradia had on just typical yoga pants and we had to take our shoes off...I think you wear heels for the lap dance class..

What kind of shaving cream/gel/lotion does everyone use?
I was a gel kind of girl until I ran out. Then I stole my bf's cream for a while, which worked fine at first but then I found I was getting ridiculous stubble and hated it. That led me to drag out this that I had stuck in a drawer when I bought it a while back because I hated it then, but I love it now.
Leaves my skin crazy soft and I am not dealing with the prickliness that usually happens in winter. I hated it before because it is really thick and kind of hard to get used to. You still have to wash your razor pretty well every time you shave or it gets nasty, but I will probably go with this from now on. Unless other people have better recommendations, because this experience has made me curious.
I also want to know if anyone has tried the shave oils that places like Adam & Eve sell that are $$. I have heard they work wonders but never tried them. 12/2/2010 4:38:19 PM |

if you wanna try shave oil just try with some olive oil first, basically the same thing without colors and flavors. i liked that stuff you posted but i found its really messy, it got all over my bathroom when i was trying to use it. 12/2/2010 4:43:06 PM |

So I've seen some of these over-the-knee boots, and thought it would be cool to try, but haven't been brave enough until now. I think these are cute, but I worry about looking trashy or slutty when wearing them. Honest opinions please!!

Love the boots, especially with a cute, short skirt!
I will say, however, that to elevate the look, you should go for a cozier look on top. Think draping sweaters and scarves. And maybe a cool brooch or dramatic, long necklace.
Or, try a structured tweed jacket. Just something to give it a more sophisticated look on top.
That way it's more of a fashionista look overall. 12/2/2010 5:07:40 PM |

hahah I will certainly try that out! I am not exactly a fashionista-type gal, but I'll take any pointers I can get to look better 12/2/2010 5:09:22 PM |

I like the first two looks shown here, and I think you could wear a skirt instead of jeans with those tops. I think to pulling off sexy boots is to go conservative, yet stylish, on top.
Also, those boots would look great with jeggings!

Love the boots. the skirt not so much. If it was a darker wash it be cute. also my preference is for it to be shorter. 12/2/2010 6:01:36 PM |

In my opinion if you wear a skirt with boots you have to make sure enough bare leg is showing. Skinny jeans or even denim leggings with an off the shoulder sweater would be awesome! 12/2/2010 7:41:44 PM |

My hair looks like crap. I suddenly have a ton of breakage (and split ends that make it look even worse) halfway down the side of my head where my hair hits my ponytail when I put it up. I use the metal-free kinds of elastics, strengthening shampoo and protecting mousse stuff. I tried switching to a spin pin, but my hair isn't thick enough for those to hold during a workout and they fall out. So I am not really sure what to do from here.
Any recommendations for ways to minimize the ugliness of the damage that is already there? I have to choose products carefully because my hair is so thin that virtually anything I put in it tends to flatten it out completely and make it look stringy. Also if anyone has had good results with strengthening shampoos or the like for thin hair that would be helpful. And lastly, any ideas for ways to put my hair up when working out that won't destroy it this bad?
This started happening after I started eating fish. Seems like that should have made my hair healthier, nor worse. I can't think of much else I've changed that would have made it worse. 12/7/2010 11:41:24 AM |

If only that would actually work! My mom always talks about how I have really thick hair, but I have to wonder if she has ever actually paid attention to it, because it's thin both in strand size and density. Despite that I've always still liked it, until recently when it started breaking like crazy. Split ends at the ends don't bother me so much because that just means I can get a haircut, but it seems like there's no good way to fix what's going on now. 12/7/2010 12:03:11 PM |

In the past year I've switch a lot of my hair routine.
My stylist told me not to use any hair ties anymore so i only use jaw clips and spin pibs. you try to mini ones
This has also been helpful, but what did it the most is regular haircuts, every 8 weeks and stopped dying my hair.

I had really thin hair as a child and Mom always gave me hot oil treatments to prevent damage. I finally got tired of dealing with it and got it cut short. Everyone thought I was a boy for about 6 months but it grew back thick and I haven't had a problem since. But it did suck when old ladies kept asking me whose son I was.

aww that is sad
I hadn't thought of this somehow, but maybe my hair is just breaking now because I haven't been getting length cut off for a while, just trims, so it's heavier and causing more strain to be put where the elastic falls. So I guess I may have to go back to a bit shorter :-/ 12/7/2010 12:15:40 PM |

Skwinkle, it might sound ridiculous, but you could try twisting your hair around and then tucking it tightly into a baseball cap. don't know what kind of workout you're doing, but I've had success getting that to stay during a run. (I sometimes wear one to keep the sun out of my eyes) sucks when it's hot out but you should be fine this time of year!! ] 12/7/2010 4:01:13 PM |

i put my hair into a bun and then wrap a hair tie around the whole thing. keeps the hair from getting damaged mid-shaft.
I can't decide which of these is prettier...

I think I will try both of those actually. Workouts are lifting, running and currently Insanity. That is the one that makes it hardest to control the hair issue. It tends to bounce out my buns when I form them by tucking the ends back up into the ponytail, so not sure how well it'll hold, but it can't hurt. Thanks ladies!
