this kid is a 2012 commit to kansas and is listed as a "solid verbal". cothron was a soft verbal after he didn't sign in the fall. i just wanted to know if there was any speculation as to why uchebo was labeled as soft.

hickson didn't have as much of a chemistry problem as a few other players on the team.

here's the deal. the coach will put the players on the floor that give them the best chance to win the game. seniority doesn't matter. you have to earn playing time.

I really hope everyone didn't miss the sarcasm in my post. I get sick of people whining that we don't want another Hickson (NBA lottery pick) because it bothered two bigs with a poor attitude and work ethic that aren't even on the team anymore...

wow, i didn't realize that my post would get so much slack

A) i never mentioned anything about anyone's work ethic, i was merely talking about team chemistry (even though the front court chemistry is next to non-existent considering that only one key member of the front court is returning)

B) i realize that this is a little different of a situation

C) i always want the best talent possible on the court, subject to D)

D) bottom line is that, I personally, believe that since we don't get enough one-and-dones to keep it revolving, that we should develop (i.e. give them game time experience, especially in ACC play) the players that we are going to need two years from now instead of playing a one-and-done all the time (meaning that CJL should play the majority of the time if he proves to be better than everyone else, but lets not overlook the guys that we are going to depend on two years from now)

Toyota, just quit talking. You don't know what you're talking about.

By calling it a Hickson situation, that suggests that our current players aren't willing to work hard for their PT. That was the source of the "chemistry problem".

This is a much different situation.

You never deny talent that will help you. CJ Leslie will help us for the 1-2 years on the court. He'll also help us after he's gone with future recruits, just like Hickson did. The most talent we can get into the NBA, the more NBA caliber talent we'll get.
