Garrett Haywood is a good guy -- We went to high school together and he was senior class president, actively involved in dozens of clubs and honor societies, etc. I don't think he's connected to the football scandals at all.

The entire premise of a student-run honor court is beyond stupid. An entire organization run by your peers that depends on the honor system? Why wouldn't that system collapse? Why wouldn't that system lend itself to favoritism? Why would any university be stupid enough to believe that no students would cheat (and get away with it) when you remove proper oversight? Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want to defend the honor system they have in place. Just because it's tradition doesn't make it impervious to abuse, that much should be obvious by now.
