instead of a series where you are waiting for them to "jump the shark" make a series where you jump the bitch at least once a week. brilliant.

except for at the end of season 2 desmond's girlfriend was looking for him and they noticed when the hatch went critical. There wasn't any crazy time differential there.

time may pass different than what it does in real life...but that doesn't mean things can't happen at the same time...

i would say it is more likely that they are on a government facility or something set up by a big business that prevents ships/planes from coming near the island (and they control the people on the island by playing mind games).

Not saying that's what I think is happening, but that I believe that scenario more than likely than the time warp.

i like the idea of the time warp, they told Julia that she would be back before the baby was born, so if there is some weird time thing going on, even though shes been there for 3 years, she still could be back before it was born.

in comparison, every jack episode is 5 times better

and every sun/jin episode is -5

locke hovers between -1 and 1, depending on how pathetic it ends

desmond is clearly the saving grace of this show

its like the writers were like--how can we incorporate a dude that looks like jesus into a modern day tv show? I know! Lets put him on an imaginary secret island with a big-ass electromagnet where he has to push a button to save the world every day!

yeah thats a better idea.

1. Can desmond predict the future?

I hope they don't get too out there though and write themselves into a hole.

no, Lost now appears to be a drunken stupor imagined by Desmond.

Though I'm sure in a few eps it's going to be a heroin induced stupor from Charlie.

you're not thinking fourth dimensionally![/dr. brown]

Desmond believed he was time traveling. After he turned the key (while he was knocked out lying in the forest), he had a personal flashback of when he broke up with Penelope. He believed he had traveled through time so that he could fix his mistakes. He could have traveled through time, but he might have just been reliving the events in his mind (due to the impact from the explosion).

In Desmond's mind he believes that he was destined to end up on the island (despite him trying to change his "path" in his flashbacks). There is still only one timeline, Desmond just jumped back to a previous moment on the timeline and then jumped back to after the hatch explosion.

Now Desmond believes that Charlie is going to die.

So is Lost worth watching any more? I haven't seen the new episodes from this year yet. The beginning of season 3 shown late last year was just too disappointing. I also got sick of the constant adding of new mysteries but never resolving any old ones. They have so many dead end plot lines I don't think they could ever resolve them.

last night's episode was awesome.

I hope they re-address the very brief plotline of what appeared to be a global search for Desmond by penelope. They had some people in a station somewhere that detected the explosion of the hatch, and they showed them calling penelope, and the episode ended... and they've yet to come back to it.

that was one of the more interesting plot lines that's been brought up.

So it seems like the episode was a dream, but if it were time travel do you think since Desmond told his friend all about the island and the electromagnetic pulse that when Desmond eventually goes missing on the boat race that his friend tells Penny and that's how she knows to look for the EMP like we saw at the end of season 2?

I honestly think there are too many lose ends in this series.

They're advertising 3 answers next week, but im sure they'll open 5 more.

I just need to see how it's all going to come together, and if it turns out to be some lame shit, I might go on a rampage.

I swear at the end of last weeks episode, everyone had guns and they were going to fight the others, not this storyline.

Desmond went more parallel. It wasn't dream because of the photograph, dartboard, etc. that were near the hatch explosion. Items from his "journey" and the bar that appeared back on the island when he was transported back.

there was already a dart board in the hatch and he might have taken the photo before he broke it off with Penelope the first time.

I'm kinda leaning towards the more logical theory that he was having a dream and was analyzing his current position and how he got there.

why would they have taken the photograph the first time?

and why would you lean towards a logical theory? it's lost.

Well it does seem like he's stuck in some sort of time loop because he said that he had tried 3 different times to save Charlie from drowning in the ocean.
