I'd rather have smart football players than track stars. We have too many athletes and not enough football players. Chuck may be pulling great athletes from Florida, but if they were really that good, they would be at Florida, Florida State, or Miami. Think about the difference between Phillip Rivers and Marcus Vick. One was a great college quarterback and the other was a great athlete. The blue chips in high school don't usually become the best college football players.

what gets to me the most about that loss was the playcalling at the end. we went prevent defense on them at the end on each play and let them gain 10-15 yards each play. why? why give a seasoned QB more time to throw? i HATE conservative playcalling when the game is on the line. LEAVE IT ALL OUT THERE ON THE FIELD! Bring some pressure and MAKE him make plays. By playing prevent, we LET him make plays. Amato always wants and harps about toughness???? How are they supposed to get tough when you make them sit back? We'll never be a good football team until the coaches and players play smarter football. We play dumbass football. Penalties, turnovers, undiscipline.....it's dumbass football. We're lucky we didn't lose by more.
