More like a boring overload amirite!!!

The Megafaun / Bon Iver show was good, especially the part where the guy who was tripping balls got kicked out.

Fuck the Oscars.

Swell Season tickets are $35. Sold through ticketmaster. Which makes them $42.50. Plus $2.50 per transaction. Even with all that, I thought I'd give it a try. The "best tickets available" literally SECONDS after they went on sale were in ROW Z.

Fuck that.

wait till their next tour. no one will know who they are.

or just watch the frames on a tour (again). i just started listening to that stuff again and it's pretty good.

Bummer dude. I pegged it right at 10am and got Row E, dead center. Even though it was $88 for 2, it's the first concert we'll go to in like 6 months.

You should've tried again real quick -- just for kicks, I selected "lower boxes" and got Row A (which is still a fantastic view). With setups like this, I rarely go for the floor. Always go for some obscure place and try to nail a Row A. Front row in the lower balcony beats the 20th row of the floor all day.

But yeah, these were too expensive -- hoping it'll be good though.

We ended up trying again and getting row P, simply because it will be easy to change our minds and sell them if we want to later.

^they were good, but showed up late and only played about a seven or eight song set
papercuts, the opener, were pretty horrible

I really loathe the Papercuts. Saw them open for Grizzly Bear and it was painful to watch.

^ I believe we've talked about that Papercuts debacle a few times on here.

Seriously, they're like zombies on stage. They look bored to be there, and the crowd naturally reciprocates, lol.

I'm seeing Stars at Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte in a couple of weeks. Anyone see their last show at CC and care to comment?
I'm hoping for more from Heart and SYOF and less off that weaker new album.

Stars play mostly all their popular songs and then the decent songs off of In The Bedroom. I didn't particularly like the album but the five songs they played off of it live were fine.

03-17 - Tilly And The Wall - 506
03-21 - Del - CC
04-21 - Cloud Cult - 506
04-27 - Destroyer - CC
05-06 - British Sea Power/Rosebugs - CC
05-09 - Radiohead - Charlotte
05-24 - Silver Mt. Zion - GE

4-5 The Modern Skirts @ Local 506

4-13 Spoon @ Carolina Theatre

4-21 Cloud Cult @ Local 506

4-30 Josh Ritter @ Cradle

5-9 Radiohead in (blech) Charlotte

Still interested in, but undecided on, Fleet Foxes, British Sea Power, and a few others.

it was really..... odd seeing thee silver mount zion there

and of course when panda bear played, with all the lights out, and like 70's british porn videos on the back wall...

[Edited on March 19, 2008 at 6:26 PM. Reason : http://www.r5productions.com/ <- these guys are the best promotional getup ive ever seen]

i mean srsly, the schedule has been that sick basically the entire two years ive been here... if i could handle it, i'd go to like 5 shows a week.

Tilly and the Wall played there new single Monday night and it was really good. Almost like a dance club song.

Diamond Studs return to the 506 on May 10th.
Here's me, screentest, and spooky enjoying their antics:

I was at the Stars show, I think I like that band way less after seeing them live. It was like your parents became homosexual and really in love with each other at the same time and made a band about it

But radiohead is coming soon, so YES
