you're comparing apples and oranges. rudy and huckabee were not the marquee speeches those nights. the hillary speech was a huge story in itself. they would have covered just as heavily if it hadn't gone well. ted kennedy's speech was a big deal just because of his health and the surprise of it all. and as far as joe biden goes, i don't know, he was the main thing going at the dem convention that night.

giuliani, huckabee and thompson were second fiddle to other speeches those nights (by republican design -- and republicans are better for them not talking about thompson's speech by the way).
