Phil beating Brady and Manning on the road to the Super Bowl would be mighty sweet.

I hope Baltimore wins because I get nervous about the chargers playing the Pats. Plus if they lose some of my pats buddies will give me shit for awhile.

Didn't that team go like 15-1?

They were much better than these Jets.

Yeah they did but the Jets didn't seem to figure out that they were a run first dominant D team until very recently. Now that they have figured out not to put the game in Dirty Sanchez's hands I am a little concerned. I think San Diego's gigantic receivers might be the difference in the hypothetical game because. I don't care how well they are covered they are almost a foot taller than the Jets secondary.

revis is no joke, but SD has enough other receiving options (gates!). i'd be more worried about SD stopping the jets running game.

I agree. SD's run issues on both sides of the ball are a big concern for the playoffs.

I think Sproles is gonna do some special things for the Chargers as they march towards the Super Bowl.

Well he better cause hes a free agent after this season.

the win of this game WILL BE the super bowl champions.

the jets D is crazy but i dont think revis has the ups like Gates, and Floyd is just WOW with his hands.

Didn't he sign a big extension this year? I think san diego's inability to run and to stop it will get them before they get to the super bowl.

I don't really think much of Sproles. He's never really impressed me. I think the Chargers could get a more traditional size speed back and be much better off. Just my 2 cents though.

Sproles is a great utility player but they are paying him 6.6 million bucks. He's not worth that.

And I think LT is getting like 7 million bucks also

Least productive and highest paid RB tandem ever?

well, next year is uncapped, right? so what they're paying doesn't matter until the next CBA is reached.

Just because there's no cap doesn't mean they want to pay all that money to a utility player.

Reggie Bush and Josh Cribbs can do the same things Sproles can, they could both be available next year.

^^Josh Cribbs will be garnering top money. He WAS the Cleveland Browns' offense this year.

I think I'd take Sproles over Bush as well. He's had a better year this year, but I think it's due to the face that opposing defense could give a shit about him anymore and he's getting less of their attention. I think Sproles is more explosive then Bush and doesn't dance around in the backfield as much, creating negative plays.

He's a fucking kick returner

He should make as much as the next best kick returner, plus 20 percent

Anything more than that and the Browns don't have their priorities in line

^^^He'll get at least Devin Hester money. He's more than a kick returner as well. He did a lot of shit in the wildcat offense. Pretty much their only weapon on offense (besides that running back who came out of NOWHERE the last few games of the year).

Cribbs is badass and the Browns were silly for not using him more in their traditional offense.

As for the SD-Jets game, I am confident in SD as I think the Charger offense will work well against the Jets D. Yeah Reavis will probably shut down Jackson, but Rivers has Floyd and Gates and Spoles/LT out of the backfield.

One of the reasons the Bengals sucked so bad was that they have no TE and Ochocinco was pretty much their only legit passing target. Plus Benson can't catch shit out of the backfield. Hopefully fatass Kris Jenkins will be out of this game as well.

The Charger D will obviously just need to key on the rush and try and stop Jones/Greene and make Sanchez win the game. Is Weddle going to play?

Sproles will be a restricted free-agent after this season. It will be easy to keep him in town.

Same with VJax, Floyd, McNeill, Cromartie and Travis Johnson, among others.

Free-agency will be very quiet this summer. The Chargers should keep everybody on board, minus LT maybe.

have they talked about Cotchery and Rivers playing together at NC State yet? I wonder if they'll bring that up during the game broadcast.
