i think it's pretty cool how each episode so far has mirrored season 1 in terms of which character it revolves around. it looks like that will continue tonight with "Sundown," which will obviously be about sun/jin. i'm guessing the pattern will have to stop next week since its corresponding episode in season 1 was about charlie.

In a misnomer, tonight's episode actually revolves around Sayid. At least, according to the synopsis everywhere. Episode 10 will reportedly revolve around Sun & Jin. I think it's just coincidence that the character focuses have mirrored Season 1 thus far. After all, Jack, Locke, and Kate are all pretty major characters.

that's weird. it seemed to make sense given the pattern and that sun's episode in season 1 had her name in it as well (house of the rising sun). i had also thought maybe that's what the writers referred to when they said season 6 was similar to season 1 because nothing else so far has seemed similar to me.

I think what they meant when they said that Season 6 was similar to Season 1 is the importance of the characters. For better or for worse, Jack seems to be more or less the central character to the show once again. Sawyer is once again less interested in joining the rest of the survivors (same goes for Kate). (The real) Locke is a non-factor, etc. While the characters changed throughout the course of the series, they seem to be reverting back to how they were originally. At least somewhat.

I don't know whether or not Claire is dead, but if she's dead then so is Sayid. If shes alive then so is Sayid. The fact that you don't see a live and dead version of them (ie Locke) leads me to believe that both of them were brought back to life by the "sickness" therefore they are alive.

I did look like some of the people hanging around SmokeLocke outside the temple were characters that had previously died in the series...Also, WTF was up with the spoiler in the teaser for next week's episode? Last week, they didn't give us any info in the teaser, this week they gave us way too much. I won't ruin it for those of you who didn't see the teaser, but did anyone else notice this?

^I too noticed said spoiler in the teaser for next week. That is too much of a thing to giveaway in a teaser, I doubt it will follow through. I'm sure if you listen to the wording of the narrator, there will be a loophole or whatever.

When Sayid and Nadia were walking in the hospital did anyone else notice Jack walk right by them?

And when the thugs were walking Sayid into the kitchen... the second it showed those knives I knew he was gonna do something badass.

i was so pissed when i read the post about this being a sun episode but then was glad when it didnt come true.

could you please just start your post with an X or something if you're going to talk about future episode synopsises you looked up or the spoiler that the teaser gave away? its not much to ask and just a simple courtesy

tonight was the best episode ever. Easily passing through the looking glass. so many great quotes. claire is now my favorite character and no shes not dead. the same thing that happened to sayid happened to her. they WERE dead but they obviously aren't dead anymore. Why can't you guys understand that someone can come back from the dead? its a tv show. unlike mib who is obviously not locke, they are still their same characters and don't notice any difference in themselves. they are simply fighting for their loved ones back and have "sold their soul to the devil" I'm thinking MIB is going to take them to the alternate timeline. If claire was dead she wouldn't want to get back with aaron

Is kate sick? I don't think so but I wonder why MIB let her come along? To influence sawyer? I guess he's confident she will eventually "convert" or maybe he just wants to let Claire murder her.

I'm not sure what you're talking about exactly, but Lost has always been horrible about this. They'll have a cliffhanger at the end of the episode, then they'll show the resolution in the preview. For the most part, I stopped watching the next weeks previews a couple of seasons ago for this reason. And it's rarely a red herring kinda deal, just horrible editing/execution of a preview.

sayid should have stabbed locke before he said something to him... locke had time to say, "hello" and after that it was too late.

also, does kate have the "darkness" now? She was hanging on that ladder and things got really weird/slow motion style and then all of a sudden she is in a trance almost walking out and joining locke, claire, and sayid.

The next episode is called "Dr. Linus". Obviously this means that the episode will be based around Vincent and his search for a mysterious phantom pork chop. Along the way I'm pretty sure he'll meet a female dog and he will have to employ the help of Ben (AKA The Love Doctor AKA Dr. Linus) to win her heart.

no its nothing like that. Lockes body is SIX FEET UNDER right now. Locke is clearly dead.

So easy to say I suck in front of bunch of people that miss huge things on the show like the fact that theres MIB who has SHAPESHIFTED into locke, locke's dead body and then just one claire and one sayid.

Since she was the last one out and got a gun to bring and had a "wtf just happened holy shit" look on her face I don't think so. MIB gave her a funny look and then continued as if he had plans for her... This was the cliffhanger so hmm....
